Inspired by Herk Harvey’s low-budget 1962 horror film Carnival of Souls, this acclaimed German thriller is set in the chilly corporate world of modern-day Europe. Yella flees the former East Germany and her volatile ex-husband for a promising job in the West. But her new-found happiness is threatened when buried truths from the past resurface.
