"Engaging A New Generation of Voters: Mock Elections for High School Students," is a joint effort with the League of Women Voters Cuyahoga Area, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections and each school's government teaching staffs. Four area high schools have been selected for these mock elections which will simulate the voting experience for over 1,800 area students. The objective is to show young citizens how the voting process works and to encourage a lifelong interest in voting.
The schools and schedules include: Shaw High School, East Cleveland, Sept 24-25; Lakewood High School, Oct 1-2;Valley Forge High School, Parma Heights, Oct. 8-9; Westlake High School, Oct. 15-16.
