JOSH SNEED Josh Sneed is quickly making his mark as one of the top young comics in the business. After quitting a comfy day job working for Procter & Gamble in 2001, he’s made excellent strides in following his passion for making people laugh. 2004 was a benchmark year for Josh. He was chosen to appear on an episode of "Premium Blend" on Comedy Central. He was also selected to perform at Just For Laugh's Montreal Comedy Festival in the "New Faces of Comedy" group, one of the highest honors that a comedian at his level can achieve. Josh can also be seen in large venue theaters across the country as an opening act for the various members of "The Blue Collar Comedy Tour". He has also made several appearances on "The Bob & Tom Radio Show". His first solo comedy CD, “A Shout Out To My Peeps”, is receiving high praise from customers and critics across the country, and receives regular airplay on XM and Sirius satellite radio. In 2003, Josh was chosen as 1 of only 10 finalists in Comedy Central’s “Laugh Riots” competition. Total entrants for the contest were estimated at about 1,500. Back in 2000, Josh placed 2nd out of over 175 comedians in Ed McMahon’s “Next Big Star” contest. Josh also won the “Joker of the Year” contest at Joker’s Comedy Café. The last two winners of this title were Pat Kilbane (FOX’s “MADtv”) and Mystro Clark (former host of “Soul Train”). Also in 2000, Josh was cast for a role in a commercial for the University of Kentucky. The commercial won several awards and has been aired on nearly every major network, including ESPN. Winning awards is nothing new for Josh, for he won a blue ribbon in 4th grade for throwing a softball through a tire. Across the country, Josh is receiving excellent feedback from comedy club bookers, audiences, and fellow comedians. In an interview with an Austin, TX magazine, the great Mitch Hedberg said, "...my favorite comic is from Cincinnati, Josh Sneed. He's amazing." Dave Attell calls Josh, "a great joke writer."
