Heinen's/WVIZ World Series of Wine - Grand Tasting #3
Terrace Club at Progressive Field
November 8, 2008
The 2008 vintage of the Heinen’s/WVIZ World Series of Wine is more than a wine tasting: it’s a “Festival of Taste” as nine wine tasting events are offered in a weekend that presents a multitude of opportunities to taste and learn about wine and food. Filled with every wine imaginable and a bounty of flavors, this 13th Annual presentation of the acclaimed fundraiser for WVIZ/PBS is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, November 7 and 8, 2008.
The main attractions of the weekend, the Grand Tastings, are scheduled for Friday evening, November 7 and Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening, November 8. The Grand Tastings will be held at The Terrace Club at Progressive Field. Over 400 wines from 150 wineries will be offered, along with an ample selection of hors d’oeuvres. Each Grand Tasting offers patrons the chance to talk with visiting winemakers, winery owners and winery representatives about their wines. Guests will also receive a souvenir crystal wine glass, compliments of Schott Zweisel, and a tasting program.
The Grand Tastings will be held Friday, November 7, 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.; Saturday, November 8, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.; Saturday, November 8, 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at The Terrace Club at Progressive Field. Tickets are $75 per person.
