Ready for a challenging off-trail hike? This hike enters the gorge where the Bridle Trail/Buckeye Trail crosses the stream and continues upstream to the steps along Gorge Rim Loop. The terrain is rough and footing is slippery. Footwear that can get wet is required. Bring a hiking stick and drinking water for this adventure into the less-known areas of Penitentiary Glen Reservation.
