The 86th annual CESKY DEN will be celebrated on July 12, 2009, at the D.T.J. Farm in Taborville, Auburn Township, Ohio. All are welcome.
Several musical groups and brass bands will play for entertainment and dancing, including the Sokol Greater Cleveland Concert Band, the Swinging Bavarians, the Bill Hronek Czech Band, Joe Hanslik & Don Hunt Combo, and Frank Moravcik. Music from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p. m.
Goulash dinners, tripe soup, Pork, sauerkraut and dumpling dinners, and grilled wieners are some of the featured Czech foods available. Dinners are served from 11 a.m.
Admission is $5.00 and all proceeds go towards supporting three Czech cultural centers; namely Bohemian National Hall, home of Sokol Greater Cleveland on Broadway in Cleveland, Ceska Sin Sokol on Clark Avenue in Cleveland, and the D.T.J. Pavilion in Taborville.
Taborville is located approximately 25 miles east of Cleveland. Take Route 422 east to 306 south. Turn left on Taylor May. Then right on Quinn. The entrance is where the east end of Bartholomew Road intersects with Quinn Road.
