"Wake Me When I'm Profound"
(Bob Peck's awesome-tastic 2009 solo show)

            Opening Saturday, October 24^th 2009, from 6-9pm in (art)ifical Gallery is: Wake Me When I’m Profound, works by Bob Peck.  Bob has been all over the map over the last decade. Everywhere from vandal, to busting locks and knuckles to do his art, from  fine wine sipper to button downed authority figure, and everywhere in between.

            Although "established locally", as he's been told, he feels still like an "outsider artist", as he was once dubbed at an opening several years back, before he even knew what the term meant.

            Some of his work is still in fact outside, (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) but Peck plans to use 2009 to shun the stigmata of being a "graffiti artist turned gallery artist" and show Cleveland and beyond that his abstract works carry a life of their own, which have almost alienated themselves from the urban art scene these days.

            'Wake Me When I'm Profound' is the backhanded slap back at those who struck first and promises to be an opening completely elevated from what you'd expect from an abstract artist or street artist or whatever terms we're using these days.

            The entire main wall of the gallery will serve as the canvas and pieces for sale will be placed as blank canvasses on the wall.  From there, the whole wall will be given the artist's treatment.  Each piece will be its own entity for purchase, but will tie into the whole wall as one explosive mess of abstract and graffiti, for one final farewell to the titles cast upon the artist.

            These pieces will only be available for this showing, and any pieces remaining from the 'Profound Series' will be painted over after the show's final day.

            Bob peck can also shoot lasers from his eyes and can withstand heats up to 750 degrees Fahrenheit (as said directly from the artist).

            Also, Opening in The Pop Shop Gallery on Saturday, October 24^th from 6-9pm is the 5^th Annual Sugar Coated Show.  A show dedicated to the tricks and treats of Halloween and the Fall Season featuring many of Cleveland’s best undiscovered talents.   Please join us for these two free exhibits.

            As always and adult after party will be held at Mullen’s (Located next to the gallery) with drink specials and giveaways for those dressed in Halloween costumes!
