The wooden churches of the Carpathian mountain region of eastern Europe have a unique architecture and style. Join us as we explore these buildings which are the symbolic center of every Rusyn community and which embody the spirit of the Rusyn people and their faith. Professor F. William Lucak (Kent State University, College of Architecture and Environmental Design) will discuss these churches using models currently on exhibit at the Museum and photographs taken during his travel to Europe.
The lecture is free, donations are welcome.
The Carpatho-Rusyn Heritage Museum is located on the 2nd floor of St. John’s Cathedral complex, at 1900 Carlton Rd, Parma Ohio.
