Author Celebrates Cleveland Pop-Culture at the Learned Owl
Saturday, December 19th Peter Chakerian will sign his new book, Pop Goes Cleveland, at the Learned Owl Book Shop (204 N Main St, Hudson). He'll be chatting with visitors about all things Cleveland from 1 - 3 p.m.
Superman. Tom Hanks. Nirvana. Devo. What do they all have in common? The answer might surprise you: Northeast Ohio. Equal parts reference manual, trivia guide, photo album, and love letter, Pop Goes Cleveland (from Cleveland Landmarks Press) celebrates the symbiotic relationship between the region and its residents.
Peter Chakerian is an award-winning writer, reporter and journalist. His byline has appeared in The Plain Dealer, Akron Beacon Journal, Sun Newspapers, Cleveland Magazine, Northern Ohio Live, and Scene. Chakerian is the Managing Editor of CoolCleveland.com, a weekly online “e-blast” newsletter on arts, culture and economic development. A Northeast Ohio native, he lives in Bay Village with his wife and son.
