We have many exciting programs in the months ahead. Programs start with light refreshments, followed by a presentation or walk with the experts.No need for reservations. Dress for the weather/terrain and bring your cameras or binoculars. Programs and program dates are subject to change. Bring a Friend and introduce them to all the wonders of The Holden Arboretum

April 27

Have you heard about the new Vanishing Acts exhibit at Holden? Do you love trees and want to understand why certain trees are threatened and are in danger of vanishing from our world’s forests and what we can do. Be one of the first to explore and tour the exhibit with Marian Williams as our guide. Meet at the Visitors Center at 9:30am to be part of the Arbor Day photo op with our President, Clem Hamilton. Check out all the Arbor Day weekend activities.

May 4

Enjoy a walk and explore the beauty of Holden’s Wildflower Garden in the spring with horticulturist, Ann Rzepka. See all the beautiful spring ephemerals.

May 11

Join us for our annual trek to the beautiful Leach Station in Madison, Ohio Steve Krebs and his new assistant will be our guides. Share this experience with someone who has never visited this haven of beauty in Madison. Meet at Leach Station by 10:00am or meet me at the Visitors Center at 9:30am to carpool.

June 1

Are you fascinated with mushrooms? Please join Steven Corso, amateur mycologist, who has been mushroom hunting for 20 years and explore the fascinating world of fungi and mushrooms. He will be at Holden this spring and summer to assist our research crew in extracting fungus DNA from samples. There will be a short presentation followed by a walk.

June 15

Join Lori Gogolin and Toby Davidson, two of Holden’s very knowledgeable Horticulturists as they teach us about “Easy Care Perennials for Fun in the Sun.”
