"SHADOWS & LIGHT"Shadows & Light Artwork by Barbara S. Breen, Richard Wolf, and Judy Maruszan Thursday, July 19-Sunday, August 19, 2012 Audrey and Harvey Feinberg Art Gallery Opening reception July 20, 6-8pm. Open one hour before all events except Kids Matinees. Barbara S. Breen works exclusively in black and white with large and medium cameras. She finds her best images trespassing in rough neighborhoods, fascinated to find overlooked towns and neighborhoods that possess power, feel, and depth. Her urban portraits were published in Images of the Heart: A Bicentennial Celebration of Cleveland and Its People and landscapes in Cleveland: Continuing the Renaissance. Richard Wolf has been taking photographs since high school, working mostly in black and white and using various cameras -- from 35mm to large format, toy cameras to digital. His photographs are of the quiet and simple beauty he finds in nature and objects. With many of Judy Maruszan's photographs she try to go deeper into what secrets they hold, by digitally exploring them to reveal hidden colors, light and depth. Maruszan interacts with the subject, playfully giving it new expression as if getting to know a new friend deeply. Currently her work is available at Local Girl in Lakewood, BayArts in Bay Village, and Studio 22 in Rocky River.
