Preschoolers are invited to sow and grow gardens while getting a taste of history at a special one-hour program every Friday at 1:00 pm in July and August at the Western Reserve Historical Society History Center in University Circle. Little Sprouts Sow and Grow is a new preschool program in the WRHS Kidzibits Family Education Center – an area of the History Center designed for young visitors and families. The program is included with general admission to the History Center, and is free for WRHS members. Little Sprouts Sow & Grow is supported with a grant from the PNC Grow Up Great initiative. Little Sprouts Sow & Grow features a play garden indoors and a real garden outdoors. Children will learn how vegetables are planted, how they grow, how they are picked, and how they taste. Activities are experiential, including indoor and outdoor group games and gardening – with time for discussion and sharing discoveries. Little Sprouts Sow and Grow is 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm every Friday from July 6 through August 31 in the Kidzibits Family Education Center of the WRHS History Center in University Circle; 10825 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. The History Center is open Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Little Sprouts Sow and Grow is included with regular museum admission: $8.50 adults; $7.50 seniors; $5.00 children age 3-17. For more information call 216-721-5722 or visit www.wrhs.org.
