Write to Assemble this summer Mary Doria Russell, Happy Dog, Ohio City Writers Russell We convene on a special night this month, Wednesday, July 25. That’s when best-selling, award-winning author Mary Doria Russell (Doc, Dreamers of The Day, The Sparrow) discusses the art of blending documented facts and informed speculation to write historical fiction. The presentation is for writers and readers and will include lots of time for questions. The evening begins at 7 p.m. at Happy Dog, West 58th and Detroit. Les Roberts, Whiskey Island, Happy Dog, Ohio City Writers Roberts In August we get back to the second-Tuesday schedule when we welcome Les Roberts, author of more than two dozens novels, including the forthcoming Whiskey Island, the latest in the CLE-centric Milan Jacovich mystery series. Les visits Happy Dog on August 14 at 7 p.m. And on September 11, Anne Trubek and Richey Piiparinen will introduce their collaborative project, Rust Belt Chic. More on that soon.
