The Cleveland Wine Opener to benefit Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

The Cleveland Wine Opener presented by Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital and Member Health to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation October 13, 2006 7:00-10:00pm with wines sponsored by The Minotti Group. VIP Reception 6:00pm sponsored by Matanzas Creek Winery and Avalon Wines. The Wine Opener is a national wine tasting series to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Held in more than 30 cities, from San Diego to Miami, The Wine Opener will reach an audience of thousands nationwide. Locally, The Cleveland Wine Opener will be held on October 13, 2006 at the Galleria at Erieview in downtown Cleveland. The Cleveland Wine Opener will be a relaxed, yet lively, evening for more than 450 expected guests. From wine novices to advanced wine enthusiasts, The Wine Opener is a casual and fun evening for all experience levels! SIP GREAT WINES poured by international and domestic wineries, sponsored by The Minotti Group. SAVOR GREAT CUISINE presented at festive tasting stations, where the area's hottest chefs prepare their specialties just for you. DISCOVER THE MARKETPLACE where local and national purveyors of fine foods, wines, liquors, and wine-related items present interactive displays for your enjoyment. Along with delicious food and wine pairings, and the sights and sounds of the marketplace, guests will be treated to lively auctions and entertainment. Demographics The Wine Opener targets young professionals, between the ages of 25 and 45. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease affecting 30,000 children and adults in the United States. CF causes the body to produce a thick, sticky mucus which impairs digestion and leads to life-threatening lung infections. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was established in 1955 to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. Ticket Price For a $50 ticket ($30 tax deductible), guests receive entrance into the event, all wine and food tastings, a keepsake tasting glass and a tasting journal (the event program). $100 VIP ticket ($60 tax deductible) holders receive all of the above plus a unique gift bag of products from the marketplace and a special pre-event wine tasting, lead by the wine supplier, and features special wines not available for tasting at the main event.
