EarthFest 2017

Founded in 1990 by Earth Day Coalition, EarthFest is held every April in celebration of Earth Day. It is Ohio's largest environmental education event and the longest running Earth Day celebration in the country. In partnership with Mayor Frank Jackson’s Sustainable Cleveland 2019 Initiative, the 2017 event will celebrate the Year of Vibrant Green Space.

$8 for adults
$4 for children ages 2-11
Free Under Age 2
Free if you Ride & Park your bicycle (at designated bike valet parking area)
Free if you Ride RTA's redline (regular fare) to Brookpark Rapid Station & take the free shuttle to the Fairgrounds
Free for Current Earth Day Coalition Members ($35 Individual Level or $50 family level minimum)
Free for Teachers and their immediate family (must present current school ID)

With workshops, 270+ exhibits, rides, live musical entertainment, food, drinks, and more – you won’t find a better way to spend your day!

In addition, there are many activities to ensure children have a great day. These include hands-on environmental activities, crafts, games, biodiesel-powered amusement rides, and petting zoos.

Exhibit areas you don’t want to miss:

Vibrant Green Space- Learn about the diverse environmental, economic and social benefits of green space and what Cleveland is doing to improve theirs. This year will feature workshops on tree stewardship including a free tree giveaway, native plants and rain barrels.

Clean Transportation- Showcase of how clean flues, practices, and technology can reconnect our region while reducing petroleum consumption and emissions.

Environmental & Energy Science – Demonstrations of home products, technologies and conservation methods that utilize advanced energy sources, minimize emissions, and maximize efficiency.

Local & Sustainable Food- Demonstrations that show how food purchases can contribute to growing the local food economy, support local farmers, and businesses and improve health.

Clean Water- Exhibits are workshops on saving water, preventing water waste, and good stewardship of water at home, at work, and in the community.

Community works- Exhibits featuring environmental and education always to get active and lean more from hundreds of environmental organizations, community groups, municipalities, parks and schools.

Health & Fitness- Nutrition and personal ecology info from various experts. On-going fitness demos including yoga, martial arts, tai chi, and more! Learn about recreational activities that connect you to nature.

Green Home & Garden- Environmentally beneficial products, practices, and services for the home and garden. Local entrepreneurs, displays with chickens, bees, and mow goats.

We take pride in putting on this awesome event for the citizens of North East Ohio. Please come be a part of this special day!

We are always looking for volunteers! There are available opportunities during EarthFest, but also before and after the event as well. Volunteers recieve free entrance to EarthFest and other perks for 4 or more hours of service! If you are interested in volunteering please contact Dolores Watson at dwatson@earthdaycoalition.org
