Ray Thurston Art Show and Sale at the Holden Arboretum

March 10, 2017 - March 12, 2017 9am to 5pm

The Holden Arboretum will be exhibiting and selling art pieces by Ray Thurston, a local artist from Mentor specializing in unique wood carvings, Friday, March 10 through Sunday, March 12 from 9am – 5pm each day.
Ray Thurston’s appreciation of the innate characteristics of natural wood developed while he was pursuing studies in the field of art. His award-winning pieces reflect his desire to create woodcarvings that people will enjoy viewing as much as he enjoys carving them and are sought after by many collectors.
The Holden Arboretum will have a variety of Thurston’s pieces on display and available for sale, including wooden figurines of fish, turtles, eagles, shore birds, owls and more created from various species of wood including saltwater driftwood and Ohio Buckeye.
