W.C. Fields shorts at Loganberry Books Classic Film Night

W.C. Fields appeared in around 12 feature films between 1924-1932. He had a couple of starring roles, and two were directed by the legendary D.W. Griffith. But he didnt really become a star until he started writing his own material, which he did in these four shorts from 1930-1932. They cemented a public perception of the character than would maintain his stardom for the next 15 years. That being a mean spirited, but pretty funny, hard drinking kind of guy.

We'll be watching the Golf Specialist from 1930, and the Dentist, The Pharmacist and the Fatal Glass of Beer from 1932. The last three being Mack Sennet Productions.
