Station 11 book discussion and free creative writing workshop

September 30, 2017 14:00 to 16:00

Join Literary Cleveland at Cleveland Public Library to discuss Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven, then learn how to channel your own ideas into your own creative writing. Literary Cleveland instructor Matt Weinkam will guide participants through the writing process as they let their creativity flow. All are welcome. Reading of Station Eleven is not required.

Cleveland is one of 75 communities nationwide participating in the NEA Big Read this year. From September 23 - November 16, 2017 our community will celebrate Station Eleven with a full calendar of events including creative writing workshops with Literary Cleveland and Lake Erie Ink at your local Cleveland Public Library branches.

An initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, the NEA Big Read broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of
sharing a good book.

For more information on this event, please contact Lee Chilcote with Lit Cleveland, lchilcote@litcleveland.org, or CAIL Special Projects Manager Megan Thompson at megan@arts-inspiredlearning.org.
