For students ages 13-19

This energetic workshop is for teen poets and emcees who want to take the first - or next - step in writing and performance.  Led by Cleveland poet and author Michael Salinger, you'll learn how to develop a strong individual voice, concrete imagery and powerful metaphors.  Live recordings of performance poetry, hip hop and special guest appearances will also serve as guides to engaging an audience.
