Experience the ultimate culinary adventure with Executive Chef of The 9 Nelly Buleje and Spice Kitchen+Bar Chef Ben Bebenroth. Sit back, relax, and savor the food journey of a lifetime. The tasting will feature an exquisite five course meal and wine pairings selected by the one and only Adega at The 9 Resident Wine Sommelier, Michel Emerick.

First Course:

Duck Liver Tart with Brown Butter

OR

Brulee Mt. Guilead Cheese from Kokoborrego on 9 Grain Grilled Crostini + Apple Rose Butter

Second Course:

Chickpeas Our Way

Roasted Beet Humus with Roasted Sweet Potato, Marcona Almonds + Moroccan Chermoula

Heirloom Carrot Hummus with Pickled Beets, Turmeric, Micro Cilantro + Pistachio

Orange Blossom Hummus with Sumac-Labneh Marinated Chicken + Zhug

Third Course:

Braised Pork Shank with Ricotta Gnudi, Purple Asparagus, Root Vegetable, Swiss Chard + Parmesan Reggiano

Fourth Course:

Lamb Porcetta, Root Veg Hash + Maple Jus

Spice Kitchen & Bar's Chef Ben Bebenroth

Chef Ben Bebenroth graduated in the top ten of his class from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, and won the school's national Taste Down Under cooking competition in 2004. In early 2006, after spending some time in Northeast Ohio's top kitchen's, Bebenroth founded Spice of Life Catering Co. (now Spice Catering Co.) with a passionate commitment to source all ingredients from small, sustainable family farms within a 150-mile radius of Cleveland, Ohio. This knowledge, combined with his award-winning culinary talents and farming experience, make him one of the most sought-after local food authorities in North East Ohio.
