4th Annual Cleveland Playwrights Festival

September 29, 2018 11:00AM to 10:30PM

Playwrights Local announces the 4th Annual Cleveland Playwrights Festival, the latest staging of this free, annual celebration of dramatic writing in Northeast Ohio. Presented on Saturday, September 29, the Festival features open workshops and craft talks, new plays by local authors, a special video screening, a unique “tabletop play,” and much more.

Featured writers in the 4th Annual Cleveland Playwrights Festival include John Busser, Cornell Hubert Calhoun III, JC Cifranic, Erin E. Dolan, Agnes Herrmann, Gail Nyoka, Reys Phillips, and Amy Schwabauer. In addition, Playwrights Local is pleased to welcome the following partner companies to the event: The Cleveland Shakespeare Festival; The Dramatists Guild - Ohio Region; Literary Cleveland; Powerful Long Ladder Ensemble; and the Upstairs Web-Series. Each of these groups will present or co-present sessions in the day-long gathering.

Sessions run from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Creative Space at Waterloo Arts in North Collinwood (397 East 156th Street, Cleveland, OH 44110). All offerings are open to the public, and tickets or reservations are not required. The Festival is intended for adults and teens.
