THURSDAY, DEC. 1 8 p.m. $10/$8 members Frédéric Brenner's films are a living companion to his memorable photographs. "The Last Murranos" portrays a Jewish community in Portugal who, despite forced conversion during the Inquisition, continue to secretly practice Judaism. "Tykocin" documents a Polish town whose residents dress up annually for the Jewish holiday of Purim to remember the Jews who were massacred there in 1941. Swiss writer and journalist Brigitte Sion will introduce the films and lead a post-performance discussion. This program is made possible by The Nathan and Fannye Shafran Foundation, a supporting foundation of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland.
