The Product Technical Specialist provides day-to-day product management support required for maintaining products within the Novar/Honeywell business environment. Works closely with Product Management team to provide key technical and tactical support for developing and managing Novar’s product portfolio. Serves as Novar initial point of contact with field sales and their customers, suppliers and product line functional teams such as Engineering, Manufacturing and supply chain operations to address quality and delivery issues.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops, reviews and/or maintains product data required for Novar / Honeywell literature and databases including technical literature, launch bulletins, Website content, competitive cross-reference documents, price lists, assists with press releases, etc… Develops short and long range marketing support plans for assigned product lines consistent with market needs and corporate strategic plans Develops and delivers product training materials and presentations to dealers and sales force Provide tactical support for developing and implementing product line strategic roadmaps Researches and analyzes competitive product offerings Researches and analyzes industry / market share information Generates new product requirements/specifications documents Gathers and analyzes product feedback from customers and field sales Identifies market needs and business opportunities through proactive and consistent interface with field sales Supports development of business cases for new/enhanced products Serves as initial point of contact for field sales regarding customer-related product issues Address product delivery issues, assists with expediting orders when required Serves as factory liaison to marketing organization (e.g. part # creation, ECO disposition, etc.) Analyzes and prioritizes field quality issues using Product Issue Escalation (PIE) process Represents Novar/Honeywell at trade shows, offering technical insights about our products Up to 20% travel required.
Four year degree in business or engineering 2-4 years of automation industry and product line management experience Good communications skills, influence capabilities Ability to work within a team environment to achieve position objectives Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
