Our client is seeking to identify an Electronic Technician to provide primary Service & Repair support to customers either at customer location or by telephone.
Daily Tasks will include:
Listens to customer description of the problem and asks appropriate questions to determine the root cause of the problem.
Provides the customer with (a) recommendation(s) to resolve the issue. This may include, but is not limited to, suggesting a change in the way the customer operates the equipment, sending replacement parts, referring the call to the Field Service Specialist for an on site resolution or travel to the customer site to effect repairs.
Record contact with customer in a Contact Resource Management system to include the nature of the problem, corrective action, and follow up activities to ensure resolution
Reads instrument dial or scope, or observes viewing screen, that indicates resistance, capacitance, continuity, or wave pattern and recognizes defects, such as short circuit, open circuit or current leakage.
Records type and quantity of defect
EDUCATION:
Associate Degree in Electronic Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one year experience providing customer service including hands on electro-mechanical trouble shooting.
