Director of Finance Cleveland, Ohio
Nonprofit housing development organization dedicated to providing housing solutions for those who are disabled and on a low income seeks a results-oriented, mission-focused leader to serve as Director of Finance. This person will report to the Executive Director with a dotted line to the board finance committee and be responsible for all aspects of financial management including the planning, coordinating and directing of the agency’s financial affairs, information technology, accounting controls and audits. As a high performing institutional financial leader, key areas of responsibility include:
• Oversight of the financial operations for the agency to control receipts of revenue, expenditures of funds and conservation of assets. • Perform budgetary analysis based on fiscal property management in coordination with the organization’s Director of Housing. • Timely reporting, forecasting, analysis and cash management so that operating and capital expenditures can be met. • Participate in the development and compliance of funding/grant proposals and ensure agency adherence to regulations and standards in conformity with directives issued by duly constituted governmental/regulatory agencies. • Partner with the Executive Director to provide collaborative leadership and build cohesive and organizational efficiencies within the organization.
Requirements include a minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience with an undergraduate business, finance or accounting degree, an MBA or CPA a plus. Demonstrated success with leading an organization’s financial management through an extended growth period and/or through the installation of highly efficient controls and processes and proven capacity to install systems including fundamental IS/IT capabilities. A strong desire to lead all functions of executive financial management for a mission-driven, community minded organization.
