Position:    Intervention Specialist (Special Education Teacher)

Duties:

This role will provide specifically designed instruction to individuals with disabilities in a resource room setting; adapting and developing materials to match the special needs of each student.  The Special Education Teacher will identify students with special needs, organize student caseloads with an effective IEPC system, and establish and implement strategies to deal with disabilities.

Accountabilities:

Teachers will be held accountable for the student achievement and growth in their classroom, establishing relationships with both students and parents, and participating in all aspects of class and school planning. Candidates should be self starters with effective classroom management skills, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for education.

Certification and Experience:

Candidates should have experience working with Special Education students.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and a valid State of Ohio teaching license for Special Education is required.
