Position Title: Professional Staff Electrical Estimator

Position Type: Full Time, Salaried, Exempt

Position Description and Responsibilities:

·          Direct responsibility for the completion of individualized, accurate, organized electrical estimates for electrical contractors executing the estimating process within the guidelines set forth by Client company.

·          Read plans, specifications, perform take off

·          Solicit bid prices from vendors for required materials

·          Load job into our estimating system software

·          Organize and prepare scope of work description and price proposal on bid.

·          Submit proposal or bid to electrical contractor or general contractor(s)

·          Look for possible value engineering, cost savings or project enhancements as appropriate for each proposal

Position Qualifications & Skills:

·          Advanced electrical knowledge

·          Electrical field experience in residential, commercial and industrial

·          Advanced NEC Code and NFPA 72 knowledge is essential

·          Computer skills which include Microsoft Word and Excel

·          Knowledge of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are a plus

·          Electrical Estimating Software experience with Vision InfoSoft EBM

·          Qualified candidates must be highly organized and enjoy working in a fast paced environment

·          Effective speaking skills for communicating with electrical contractors, estimators/project managers,      electrical engineers, and architects

·          Must have the ability to use discretion and independent judgment due to varied responsibilities

·          Leadership skills

·          Strong code of ethics

·          Attention to details

·          Responsibilities require intellectual aptitude

·          Good with paperwork

·          Mathematics aptitude

·          Individual must be able to multi-task

·          Meet deadlines on time

Minimum Education:

·          High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience:

·          Three to five years of direct electrical estimating experience
