Global Credit Intern

The Aleris Global Credit and Accounts Receivable Department is currently looking for a talented student intern to work 16 to 20 hours a week during the school year and full-time during winter and summer breaks. This position is highly visible within in the department and reports to the Director of Global Credit and Accounts Receivable and acts as a back up for the Credit Analyst staff. This is an outstanding opportunity to learn how to work within the credit department of a growing global organization.

Global Credit Intern will perform customer credit analysis in order to extend lines of credit. You will also have the opportunity to use your sharp problem solving skills and strong interpersonal skills to resolve unpaid invoices with key customers.

You will also be involved with migration work surrounding our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems implementation and ad hoc reporting. The role will require you to become proficient in multiple ERP systems as you learn to manage a diverse customer base.  Your may be involved in issues surrounding customer bankruptcies as it relates to preparing and defending against preference actions.           .

Requirements:

• Finance, Accounting and Business Majors with a GPA of 3.0 and above.
• Students in junior year or just beginning senior year.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn computer systems, new processes and information quickly.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• The ability to focus on detailed information and process it effectively.
