The System Architect is responsible for architecting the solution for technically challenging projects. Day to day responsibilities are to work with the business and technical teams to understand requirements and work through the solution. Formal and informal discussions of the architecture are delivered to the team as well as Technology and Business executives. Architects build a solution frameworks and proof of concepts to further refine their designs. However, this is not a day to day coding position. The System Architect is required by their job function to stay current in their skill set. As such, company sponsored training is provided on an as needed basis.
** Defines the technology solution for a specific project and ensures that it is designed and constructed to meet current & anticipated future Business and Technology requirements.
** Technical leader on projects.
** The Systems Architects are focused on top 10-15% of all client projects.
** Adviser for "in trouble" projects that need technical help.
In order to be considered for employment, the qualified candidate must meet the following criteria:
** 7+ years architecting Java and/or .NET applications toward scalable, efficient, and maintainable solutions.
** 7+ years database design/SQL statement tuning in SQL Server, Oracle, or DB2 database technologies.
** 7+ years Knowledge of distributed systems spanning mainframe, UNIX, MS Windows environments.
** Successfully architected and delivered �mission critical / enterprise wide� applications (as compared to small departmental solutions).
** 1+ years in SOA architecture/design.
** 1+ years Business Process Management (BPM) software suite (FileNet, TIBCO, etc).
