Old Prague Restaurant
Nothing like Berwyn, but...
Grew up on Polish and Czech food. Lived outside Chicago for decades so had plenty of access. Now in DC where there is none so when we travel we seek out the old favorites. In-laws are in Bay Village, finally ate here (been visiting Bay for 9 years) and liked it. Have to admit the portions are a lot smaller than I'm used to but the food was pretty good. Dumplings were a little dry, gravy was good, not too salty... Wife liked the goulash, the meat was tender and seasoning pleasant. One other writer stated that the schnitzel was paper thin, it was a few sheets at least. I'm used to the main dish, soup, side, drink and small desert for all 1 (usually very good) price. This was $11 for a small (thin) schnitzel and 2 small dumplings for lunch. Was the right amount of food but I would have left overs for that price in Berwyn. Wife has a small "salad" with her goulash which was chopped raw veggies in a vinaigrette base. Looked like soup to me. She said it was good and fresh. Her spaetzels tasted homemade but I'd never order spaetzels when dumplings are available. Service was friendly, we ate outside but inside looked typical bohock eatery as we walked through. They had a large bar with mostly European bears. I'm a teetotaler so I can't rate and didn't care about that.

Not a family atmosphere
The food is good and reasonably priced, and there are plenty of activities to participate in at Flyers. However, it is not a place to take your children. We recently took our children there and while we were there a song came on the jukebox that was full of the "F" word. Today's permissive society apparently accepts this, but if you are teaching values to your children Flyers is not the place to go. This is not necessary in a public place. This place should be advertised as adults only.
