Downtown 140
Return to home town
We were there Tuesday night June 30 and the cosmopolitan was EXCELLENT. I had one and Derek got a great tip . I would love to get your recipe for them. Any chance????[please] We really enjoyed our dinner but I REALLY enjoyed the COSMOPOLITAN !!! The cream brulee was perfect even though I had, by that time some wine !!! We wish you were located in Deland!!! Merrie F.

Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits
Customer Complaint
i visited the Popeye's on Euclid and Superior in East Cleveland on Tuesday evening. There were several customers in the store. There was an older lady at the register who obviously was upset at another employee. She began to cuss (verbalizing the "f" word and other obscenties), at the register, in front of customers!! I was with my grandchildren and felt this was TOTALLY inappropiate. WE LEFT AND WENT ELSEWHERE. This language was awful. We try to teach our children to respect adults, but that is very difficult when they DO NOT respect themselves. Being a retired Head Cashier and working with the public for over 32 years, this was unacceptable to me and my grandchildren. Employees working with the public should be TAUGHT good service and respect for others. There are too many people unemployed, that I am sure would conduct themselves in a more professional manner. This behavior reflects management and the image of Popeyes. This matter should be addressed by management. These actions surely would not be tolerated in the suburbs. We as African-Americans should represent ourselves in a more service-oriented manner.

Osteria di Valerio
Response to Don't Bother
Spence - The restaurant is small and we had a large group which is why the we could not accomodate the request. Oh so bad you had to sit a the four top by the window and the owner bought you dessert and sent over lemoncello to try to make up for you not getting your requested table.

Corky and Lenny's
My First Stop When I Come Home
Corky & Lenny's has always the first place I stop to eat when I come back to Cleveland, from my present home in Maryland. I have always found it a very enjoyable experience with great food and service and a true 'Deli' experience, which is becoming harder to find now days. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful whenever I've dined at Corky & Lenny's, even when I've asked for a custom sandwich. The only recommendation, I'd have is, open a Corky & Lenny's in the Maryland Suburbs of Washington DC, so I wouldn't have to travel so far. Great Work Guys

Maria's
The West side Italian experience
I typically order the meatball sub for lunch. I add a side salad and forget about the fries. The best meatball sandwich next to my Mama's. With a tip and water to drink - $11.50. Stuffed to the gills. The best part about Maria's next to the food is the service and atmosphere. The wait staff are attentive without being obnoxious. 45 minutes of good food with Frank or Dean over the sound system in the middle of a workday really sets the tone for the afternoon.

Taza Lebanese Grill
Asked to leave after 1 hour 15minutes
I was not amused this afternoon by being asked to leave. I was having lunch with some friends and we began to feel rushed while ordering dessert. Minutes after paying the bill (having left a very good tip) we were asked to give up our table "because the needed our section". Section! It was a table for 4! We had only been there 1 hour and 15 minutes and there was a very small amount of people waiting! I have never ever been asked to leave any restaurant, we paid and were certainly not in the realm of abusing seating AND if they had waited another 5-10 minutes we would have happily left and I wouldn't be writing this poor review. All of us agreed that although the food is decent, we will avoid lunching there unless someone we are with truly wants to go. That's how insulted we were.
