We ordered clam chowder, sent it back , it was so thick you could stand the spoon upright in it, My husband had the fish with rice pilaf which were good, I ordered the green beans in some kind of pepper whatever, it was awful. I actually liked his rice pilaf. The food to me was like eating at a Georges or a Victorias, palatable but nothing to write home about. There are too many nice restaurants in this town to pay for so-so.

We loved Greek Isles, and it was always worth the trip downtown. Now one of my favorite restaurants has moved almost next door. The owners really treat you like honored family guests - very welcoming, warm and gracious. The lamb is always good whichever style you choose, and the lemon sauces and soups are perfect. In addition to their regualar menu, they also serve a Sunday brunch, which quite frankly is one of the best deals I've seen. The same care in preparation of the dishes, wonderful cooked to order omelets, roast beef, lamb (the menu varies)and other dishes, at a price half of what some restaurants of lesser quality charge. Not to be missed!

Warehouse District diners lost a favorite spot last year when George Servetas closed Greek Isles; now, Servetas stages a comeback with Kristofer's, a fine casual dining establishment in North Olmsted. Greek flavors infuse but don't overwhelm the restaurant's extensive menu: You can get kasseri cheese flambe and stuffed grape leaves as a prelude to prime rib and roasted redskin potatoes. Beef, pork, lamb and chicken are all available with light, flavorful preparations; the chicken breast lemonato is sauteed with fresh mushrooms and served in a light lemon sauce. Kristofer's also offers salmon, tilapia, grouper, sea scallops and shrimp, plus a catch of the day. For dessert, don't miss the bread pudding - Servetas' mother's recipe - paired with a cup of coffee.
