A Beautiful Sunday Afternoon

My wife and I had a wonderful trip to Little Italy; it was our first time. I read the reviews of many restaurants ahead of time and we decided on La Dolce Vita as we walked along the street. The service and food were outstanding. We each had a sandwich; I had the Italian sandwich and my wife had the Parmesan Chicken sandwich. Both came with a small salad. We sat outside on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Great food & service, at a reasonable price. I would absolutely make another trip to La Dolce Vita.

Awesome time

My wife and I live just outside Erie Pa. She mentioned she would like to dine somewhere different, so I took her on a two hour trip to La Dolce Vita. We were met out front by a friendly host and sat on the patio out back. Our waiter read us the specials and I chose the Veal Pavorotti while the wife got the Chicken Parmesean. We both enjoyed a great meal. The Veal was melt in your mouth good. My wife also had aglass of wine. After we walked around Little Italy for about an hour just enjoying the ambience! Great night! Great Resteraunt!!!!

First time there, great italian dinner lovely people

Positive energy, great atmosphere and so many choices of pasta. The marina and mozzarella was the best I have ever tasted and the chicken so tender! I will be going back soon to La Doice Vita Bistro with my wife on our wedding anniversary.

A Special Night to Remember

Last week when my brother and I took his girlfriend to see Little Italy (She's never been to Cleveland), he suggested that my boyfriend and I should check out La Dolce Vita for our 1 year anniversary dinner. My brother was right! It looks so small from the outside, but when we left, we didn't realize that there were 2 other rooms. My boyfriend and I thought it would be a bit nicer inside, but overall, it was great. I got the Gnocchi with Marinara, while my boyfriend got one of the specials that was cheese filled Ravioli with garlic sauce and butter around the plate. We told our waiter that it should be placed on the menu. We definitely plan on coming here again. Pricing was a little steep on our end, but we had a gift certificate from Restaurants.com to use. Overall, we give La Dolce Vita an B+ and we will definitely be coming back in the near future.

Wonderful Food

The food was excellent! However the service was horrible. Horrible to the point that we didn't leave a tip. Our waitress ignored us, when a waiter brought our food out he walked to every table in the place except ours ( and ignored us flagging him down ) to ask if the food was theirs. Then he walked our food back in the kitchen. It was our anniversary , the food may have been great but if I wanted to be treated like I didn't matter I would have went to McDonalds. Even with the bad experience with the staff I would go back- one bad night doesn't mean it will always be like that!

Very Pleasant Surprise!

We were a group of 5 who just went to see Neil Gaiman speak at the Lakeside Library this past week. When the restaurant that we were going to eat at was too full with a party, we decided to head to Little Italy. We parked and walked around, with none of us knowing any specific place to go. We asked a couple we passed for a recommendation and they said "La Dolce Vita". Great choice! We all ordered different entrees and all excellent. Veal, risotto, seafood. The sauces were perfect. Then at the end they brought us a platter of fruit drizzled with triple sec. What a great finish. The service was excellent also I will be back, soon.

A Wonderful Experience!

I have been a fan of this restaurant for years. I drive an hour and a half for one of the finest meals ever! The pasta with escarole divine and the seafood the best! Service is efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere comfortable. Summer is a great time to try the marble tables outside.

Delicous food, authentic decor

This place absolutely has the best calamari I have ever tried... none of the greasy breading that masks the flavor of the food... just a great sauce and a good quality. The style is very European with it's simple decor and concentration on the food itself. The bistro tables outside during the summer make for a relaxing day to sip wine and get some appetizers on a nice day. By far, my favorite restaurant in Cleveland!

An excellent dining experience!

I've been going to La Dolce Vita for special dates and occasions for years now. Every single time I've been there, the service and the food has been simply out of this world. The wine list is above average. The wait staff is cordial and helpful and service is good, even when they are busy. The owner usually makes it to every table to see how everything is. And the beautiful Italian opera-style music is always playing. Try sitting on the sidewalk in the summertime - you can enjoy one of Cleveland's best Italian restaurants and watch Cleveland go by at the same time!

Northern Ohio Live Magazine

If you can't make it to La Dolce on a Monday night for live opera, don't worry; there's always a lot to see at this busy corner bistro in Little Italy, especially if the seasonal sidewalk tables are available. Naturally, the menu features a variety of pasta dishes, including pesto Omar, with fresh basil, walnuts, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and a dash of chopped plum tomatoes; fettuccine Fellini, with tomatoes, pancetta and gorgonzola in a creamy Parmesan sauce; and the deliciously simple abruzze, with tomatoes and meats simmered with herbs. Delicious dolci - desserts - include the simple but satisfying fruit platter and a variety of daily specials. If you're not in the mood for sweets, step over to the full bar for a nightcap.
