Very Pleasant Surprise!
We were a group of 5 who just went to see Neil Gaiman speak at the Lakeside Library this past week. When the restaurant that we were going to eat at was too full with a party, we decided to head to Little Italy. We parked and walked around, with none of us knowing any specific place to go. We asked a couple we passed for a recommendation and they said "La Dolce Vita". Great choice! We all ordered different entrees and all excellent. Veal, risotto, seafood. The sauces were perfect.
Then at the end they brought us a platter of fruit drizzled with triple sec. What a great finish. The service was excellent also
I will be back, soon.

A Wonderful Experience!
I have been a fan of this restaurant for years. I drive an hour and a half
for one of the finest meals ever! The pasta with escarole divine and the
seafood the best! Service is efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere
comfortable. Summer is a great time to try the marble tables
outside.

Delicous food, authentic decor
This place absolutely has the best calamari I have ever tried... none of the greasy breading that masks the flavor of the food... just a great sauce and a good quality. The style is very European with it's simple decor and concentration on the food itself. The bistro tables outside during the summer make for a relaxing day to sip wine and get some appetizers on a nice day. By far, my favorite restaurant in Cleveland!

An excellent dining experience!
I've been going to La Dolce Vita for special dates and occasions for years now. Every single time I've been there, the service and the food has been simply out of this world. The wine list is above average. The wait staff is cordial and helpful and service is good, even when they are busy. The owner usually makes it to every table to see how everything is. And the beautiful Italian opera-style music is always playing. Try sitting on the sidewalk in the summertime - you can enjoy one of Cleveland's best Italian restaurants and watch Cleveland go by at the same time!

If you can't make it to La Dolce on a Monday night for live opera, don't worry; there's always a lot to see at this busy corner bistro in Little Italy, especially if the seasonal sidewalk tables are available. Naturally, the menu features a variety of pasta dishes, including pesto Omar, with fresh basil, walnuts, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese and a dash of chopped plum tomatoes; fettuccine Fellini, with tomatoes, pancetta and gorgonzola in a creamy Parmesan sauce; and the deliciously simple abruzze, with tomatoes and meats simmered with herbs. Delicious dolci - desserts - include the simple but satisfying fruit platter and a variety of daily specials. If you're not in the mood for sweets, step over to the full bar for a nightcap.
