The Best at Fresh
My experience with Lemon Grass has always been pleasureable. No matter how many times I've gone it's always a good time. The seafood and vegetable are always fresh and not frozen or packaged. I've seen the owner go out into his wonderful homegrown garden in the back of the restaurant and retrieve vegetables, herbs and fruit from his garden. The service is always great and the lemonade is to die for !

Worst restaurant in Cleveland
Awful service, awful food, even drinks are bad! yes, ginger ale flat! HELLO! not only a bad name for Thai cuisine, but also to Cleveland restaurants
People with discerning taste in good international food would just stand up and leave that place, I did. It should not be open...a horrendous experience and wasted money and time! Bad Bad BAD!

Awful restaurant!! Terrible manager!!
I went there with my wife and had a terrible encounter. We were seated by the hostess who was nice enough. After being seated we waited so long for a server to even appear, which seemed odd because there was only one other group eating in there at the time. When a waiter finally did come out, since we had so much time to look over our menus we were ready to order our meal but he hurriedly asked us what we wanted to drink and then ran away. Again we waited a long time, at least 15 minutes. Then he finally did come out with our drinks. He took our dinner order but we asked him a few questions about the dishes we were getting. He seemed bothered and had such a lack of knowledge about the dishes and kept giving us "I don't know" and "I think so" answers. We thought maybe he was new. We're reasonable people.
When we asked to see a manager after the meal our server went back to get him and promptly came back and said he was too busy to talk. As we were leaving I asked the hostess to get the manager and she went back and a young man with a ponytail claiming to be the owner came out. He listened with visible impatience to our experience. When I was done he stared at me and then with obvious sarcasm said, "Well I'm sorry you feel that way." He quickly turned around, walked around the bar toward the kitchen while saying a disparaging remark about our race!! Seriously! We didn't do anything untoward at the place or say anything disrespectful. I am never ever stepping foot inside that place. I am telling everyone I know not to go there. I am even signing up to restaurant review websites like this to retell my experience. Please do not go here. They don't deserve your money or anybody's money.

Cr@p service, below avg food and uncaring management!
Go their at your own risk. The service is horrible. The management is worse. The food, if and when you get it, is at best average. Stay away from this place like the plague unless you like being annoyed and paying for it.

Very good food, but service is dying
Food has always ranged from good to great, only because they are inconsistent. Curry one week may be better or worse the next, but generally it is very good. I get take out a lot from LemonGrass, I don't like to eat in. The service isn't that great, and it has gotten worse. It's dead in there a lot of the time. I know for a fact that they don't treat their waiters/waitresses all that well, and that reflects in their service. It's so unfortunate because customer service is such a critical part of any restaurant business but they just don't get it. They probably think business is going down because of the economy.

Not Going Back, Either
The service was terrible. We told our server we had a show to go to and asked if we should skip appetizers because we had to leave by 7:30 and he said there was no problem; he would have us out in time. We had to ask several times during the meal for items that should have been sent. At 7:30 I had to ask the hostess for boxes and our checks, separate checks that we had requested when placing our order. Finally at 7:40 one check came out with everyone's food on it. We stated it was to be gtwo checks so he left and came back 5 minutes later with two checks but separated incorrectly. Has noone every asked for separate checks there before?
And unfortunately the food was average.

Great food!!! I miss it!
Lemongrass is one of the top 3 Thai Restaurants in Cleveland. The curries are amazing! My favorite is the Massaman curry. Other things to fry are the Duck Thai Basil and Garlic Duck, the siam rolls, Chicken Cashew and the Crab Fried Rice. I know this restaurant quite wee and have tried basically every item on the menu. This thai food stands up to any other Thai restaurant in Cleveland and if it's a bit more expensive, it's because you get bigger portions. Unfortunately as of this winter I don't live in Cleveland and can't enjoy this tasty place.

Not Impressed-- Not Going Back
Ate here with another couple on 5/28 and it was absolutely dreadful. The service was beyond slow-- it was more like we were completely ignored. When we complained, they told us it was because they were so busy, but at 7 pm on a Saturday night there were more empty tables than not both inside and on the patio. After more than 1/2 hour wait, we got water. Ok, that was a start. 30 minutes more and food began to arrive. It was edible, but not hot, and in one case not prepared according to menu. In fact, by the time the sauce arrived for one meal, it was ice cold. If we thought we were having a tough time, the diners next to us were equally as miserable-- wrong food, non-existent service, and an equally unpleasant evening. Our complaints managed to get the ice cold entree removed from the bill, but an apology was no where to be heard. When we asked to see the owner, we were told he was too busy!!! It won't happen again because I'll never go back. A shame too-- it used to be a place I enjoyed going to on occasion. I can give anyone a break for a bad night-- but try to apologize and make things as right as you can. There was no such effort here- in fact, the worse it got, the more they ignored us. When the bill finally arrived-- no one came to collect it after 15 minutes. We tried to pay for it at the bar-- and they actually refused until we stated we were walking out and if they wanted to get paid, this was their chance. Seriously, what restaurant treats customers like this?

Pad Thai to Live For
I was first introduced to Pad Thai by my hair stylist. I have found a new love. My sons love the texture of the noodles and the overall taste of the dish. The fresh peanuts add just the right amount of crunch to make it fun. I visited the Lemon Grass with my husband and sons for Valentines Day and we had great service and great food. Many blessings to the staff and chefs at The Lemon Grass. We will return and tell all our family and friends.

Extrememly Dissapointed with Lemon Grass
After reading wonderful reviews and hearing from a friend that he heard good things about the Lemon Grass I was shocked at my actual experience. I went with my girlfriend on a Monday night around 7 o'clock. There were a total of 10 people dining in the restaurant and two servers for these five tables. This was a sure sign to me that we were going to receive terrific service. I was mistaken. I started the meal with Thai Hot and Sour soup. The smell of the soup actually made me sick to my stomach, let alone the terrible taste. I chalked this up to inexperience with the menu but my girlfriend, who is much more versed in Thai food, also said it was a terrible soup. When I told our waiter, after waiting for 20 minutes for him to come over, he said that I made a poor choice in picking soups because the coconut one is far superior and that I should try that one next time. This would have been wonderful to know while ordering, but I was just grateful he took the soup off of the table. Next came our main courses, I had the Chicken with macadamia nuts and my girlfriend had the pumpkin curry. Both were ridiculously average. I was expecting much more, but the food was just okay. So for the price I expect the food to be terrific not just average. On the other side their rice was delicious and very fresh. Also I had a Thai Iced Tea which was very good. It's good that I ordered the Iced Tea because we sat there without drinks for most of the meal because our waiter was nowhere to be seen in order to fill our water glasses. And when he finally did refill my glass there was a large black floating piece of debris which he laughed about when I finally brought it to his attention. So as much as I am against not going back to a place after one bad experience this restaurant warrants that mentality.

Best Thai Food in Cleveland
Amazing ingredients, friendly service, and reasonable dish prices make Lemongrass the best thai restaraunt in Cleveland. The Yellow coconut curry which comes with your choice of chicken, tofu, or shrimp is very delicious. The green beans with cashews is another popular dish which compliments a meal.
I also love their beer/ wine menu offering an array of Thai, Asian and local (Great Lakes) beers. The wine selection features varietals from Australia to the west coast that are tasty and not over priced. And lastly, the drink menu features creatively made up cocktails with tropical flavors.

Lemon Grass
The Lemon Grass is my favorite restaurant in all of Cleveland! We can't go to the Cedar Lee theatre next door without stopping for dinner. The aroma coming from the place is irrestistable. Their Shrip Himparin is wonderful as are their satays. They offer a nice selection of wines and beer also. Do yourself a favor and check this spot out!

Lemon Grass occupies a piece of prime real estate on Cleveland Heights' Lee Road strip, offering cuisine that's a cut above the homey pub grub featured at many nearby establishments. The large menu has something for everyone (particularly if you like shrimp), and curry dishes can even be customized to your taste: Select chicken, seafood or tofu, and pair it with red, green, yellow or Masaman curry. Large families, couples on dates and groups of friends will find it easy to order several dishes to split and share, including the generous servings of pad thai, topped with chicken and shrimp and flavored with a sprinkling of peanuts. Lemon Grass also offers a number of specials, which may include such menu departures as duck spring rolls, an array of soups and entrees like tamarind mango (shrimp with peppers, onions and mango in a spicy broth). An adequate beer and wine selection is available, in addition to a full bar.
