training your barmaids

my husband and i love the lincoln park pub, and have come there many times. the guy bartenders have always taken great care of us, unfortunatly the female bartenders have not. have you considered having someone come in and retrain them? i have been a bartender and a barmanger. i have 18 years experience. Reading these comments on this message board would concern me as a bar owner, manager and fellow bartender. the liveleyhood of these people that own this bar,and work at this bar depend on the patrons that come here. if they stop coming because of bad service than you dont have a business. it is just a suggestion, but i would look into getting someone in there to retrain your staff. Again, my husband i travel about a half hour to 45 minutes each way to come to your pub because we live the fish and chips and the atmosphere, we have brought many friends there as well. We would love to keep doing that, but may not if the service keeps going down hill.

been coming here for awhile good food but barmaids on tuesday are the most rude people i ever met.If your not use to being busy or dont wanna be busy and do nothing but complain because it is busy, then get another job. Us customers dont wanna here about it, if i want gossip ill stay at work.Use to be a nice place to chill out eat and drink but lately its horrible with the babies working there.Me and friends wont be back.

Fish & Chips Rock

Had great servoce, better food, and the Christmas Ale was awesome~! The fish and chips were awesome and the wings were to die for~! The bartender made sure our needs were met and made several recommendations for future visits. At 4:15 it was not very crowded and we were served almost immediately after sitting down at the bar. Thursday night wing night seems like a natural hit~!

gossip place

Me and 4 others went for drinks around 5:00 on a tuesday place was kinda empty except for 4 people at the end of the bar.We waited for about 5 minutes because they were talking about other customers.finally got our beers and had to sit there listening to these people including the bar maid talk about the customers. If your gonna talk about customers why do it in front of customers. We drank our beers and left wondering if they were going to talk about us.Very bad for business

Good Food, crappy service

The food is really great bar food. I love their beer selection. I just wish the staff wasn't so rude. Seriously, I just want a drink and you can get back to your socializing! This was a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't even busy. I miss the old days there when you could get good food AND good service!

Won't be back. Ever.

I used to be a big fan of LPP. I was there tonight for Taco Tuesday for the first time in years, and had some first-timers with me. Our server, Mollie, was the rudest person I have ever encountered. The food was ok, but I won't be back after being treated so horribly. On top of that, the basement was flooded with piss and toilet water. The place should be condemned.

bartenders with attitudes

Been there a few times and had to wait to be greeted and served. The bartender seems to stand at the end of the bar talking with people.I hate going to a bar when you have to ask for service. The food was okay and the 4 of us just laughed it off.We ended up leaving and going to the Lava Lounge around the corner.Won`t go back there again

Favorite downtown spot!!

The customer service is great. Tuesday nights are always packed and busy with cheap taco goers, but our waitress always manages to keep our beers full and our wallets happy. The music they play is great, and they have a jukebox avaiable to play your own favorites. Not only the best place in Tremont, but my favorite spot in Cleveland. I'm a Tuesday regular.

best wing night ever!!!!

30 cent wings on Thursdays are the best. They are the big wings with actual meat on them!!not the tiny wings in other joints. The sauce choices are awesome there are like a dozen to choose from. I don't care about the 10 minimun on credit cards I see that more often at more places. If you don't have $3 cash maybe you should not be going out!! Great time every time! Lincoln park pub rocks!

Taco Tuesdays Rock

I don't know what these last two are talking about. The LPP is one of my favorite bars in the city. The only problem on Taco Tuesdays is finding a seat. There is a reason that it's packed every week. All I'm saying is that if whistleblower from lakewood hates it so much why keep going back? Because it's the cheapest place to drink in Tremont? Yes! Because the tacos rock? Yes! Because the patio is one of the best in the city? Yes! o.k. the jukebox is a little expensive now. Fairplay to you.

bad customer service

it is true about the $10 minimum...this violates lincoln park's agreement with credit card companies (specifically their agreement with visa and master card, maybe others). i reported them to visa when i got home yesterday. if this happens to you, report them too...they can be fined for this and even dropped from being able to accept visa at all... especially if enough people complain...it makes the credit card companies look bad and they don't want that. the pub should lose business from being dropped from the c-card companies. i know of a bar in ohio city ( <2 miles away) that just got dropped from visa !!! i won't mention that bar's name since i frequent there ( i did report them too though). also, FOUR TIMES in the past year ( i've only been there a few more times than that...never again) 4x this year they have messed up my order on taco tuesdays...how hard is it to get a taco order right??? high school kids at taco bell don't mess up that much !!!!!! i was there yesterday on their patio and it took ~40 minutes for the server to acknowledge that i was there...i had to go inside to reorder beers!!! she was nice, but 40 minutes? at least this time, eventually i got what i orderred--bean tacos instead of beef--if you are a vegetarian, ALWAYS make sure that they don't give beef tacos instead of bean because they don't seem to care what they give you... i recommend (if anything at all) to get the uncooked shells because they deep fry their shells which literally DRIPS grease. ooooo yuck. the environment is not up to par with other trendy wannabe tremont pubs. the bar is dark and dank. it reeks of last night's beer on the floor.

Nothin' Special

There's nothing particularly special about this bar. I've stopped by with friends a few times, bartenders aren't particularly friendly and the food is of the variety I'd only eat when absolutey obliterated. The crowd itself is mixed btw yuppie "flipped" Tremont and the working locals: you'll always fit in. The jukebox isn't anything to tout. However, live music is sometimes available, though I swear it's been the same guy on 3 different occasions which leads me to question the variety. Sum it all up: every neighborhood has a local bar with no distinguishing qualities. This bar falls under that category.

CC Minimums are Illegal!

Beware when visitng this establishment. They require a $10 minimum on credit cards... which is illegal. The last time I was there, the bartender tossed back my credit card and told me "don't worry about it" with his best snarky attitude. My friend and I then decided to combine our checks so we could actually pay our bill and the server told us that they couldn't do that and that "you two just figure it out". So I guess my money was no good there, but my friend and I got free beer. I've been there less than a dozen times but have consistently received the same rude service. The food is typical bar food; bland and greasy and the jukebox is full of embarassing 90's frat boy rock. There is nothing redeeming to bring me back.

Drinkin at the Lincoln!

Love this place. I am comfortable everytime I go there. I could be dressed to the nines or in a pair of sweats and I always fit right in. The staff is super friendly and can mix a mean drink. Burgers are huge and the wings are tasty. I stop by whenever I can.
