Simply sickening!
After work last Wednesday, 15 of us went there for dinner on the patio. Service was ok and thats about it! Everyone who ordered a meal of some sort, became very ill. Some were severe with sickness. Fortunately for me and another coworker, we DID NOT eat anything other than a few chips and barely any salsa to flavor stale tasting chips. We were the only ones in the restaurant, yet per their policy they don't do seperate checks because they may be too busy dividing everything up. I can now see why the restaurant was totally EMPTY other than the servers and manager. Will never go back!

Fish Taco Awesome!
Almost did not go based on some of these reviews, but we did and our experience was excellent (March 31, 2012). Luncheon menu - fish taco is excellent! Just what the original Luchita's is famous for -lousy decor and awesome food. I ordered a chicken dish that was good as well, but I really loved the refried beans. The waitress was polite and accurate. Yes, we were greeted at the door.

Glad I didnt listen to the revues.
After reading the revues I almost canceled dinner plans at Luchitas. Decided to go go and form my own opinion. The service was excelent and the food was delicious. We had a party of 19 people an werent rushed to leave the resteraunt even though there was a line waiting for tables. I would go back and would recomend it to anyone wanting to have a good mexican style meal.

BAD - just plain awful
Was ignored upon entering, took 3 requests to get 2 Cokes, salsa ice cold, food took 3x longer to get to table than should have... AND was not worth the wait - steak was hard to cut, didn't even bother with chimichonga... WAS HARASSED OVER 5.50 BY MANAGER...He ACTUALLY CHASED US INTO PARKING LOT THREATENING TO CALL POLICE...

Luchita's SUX
We just had the most awful experience at Luchitas. Broken Chicken bones in the meal. The owner is rude , pompus and most certainly should not be in the service industry.
It was our sixth and final time there. Realy it dark and dingy at 80% of the tables.
Despite what others say it is not cheap and most certainly not value for money.

Almost the original
We just came back from Luchita's in Parma. We were curious to see if it could compare with the original on West 117th. The food was excellent! The service was perfect. The dining room was clean and not over crowded with tables. Since we live within walking distance from the original, this was an evening out for us. We will go back again!

Luchitas Rocks!
This is our favorite mexican spot to go, the food is excellent along with the service. The owners make you feel special and the weekly specials are always out of this world...This is a great place to sit and dine and nut be rushed through your meal.

Something is wrong in Luchita's Ridge Rd. Kitchen
I have been to Luchita's 117th and Beachwood locations and enjoyed the food immensely. We were incredibly disappointed with the food we received at the Ridge Rd. location. The meat was reheated, not fresh--you know how reheated chicken tastes, right? Not one of the three of us finished our meal. More went in the garbage than in our stomachs. SO disappointed. The tortilla chips were nice. The salsa was good, but that's about all I can say on the positive side. We will not be going back.

Did someone say Silver Tequila?
You sincerely need to try the Special. If only one of you get it be prepare to share. The Catfish and Salmon are out of the world. And you could spend allot more for this quality of Food and Service, but why? And don’t forget the Margaritas, if you do you’ll be sorry. This Mexican restaurant has an international twist of flavor and is truly authentic. You are always greeted promptly by someone from the friendly staff. Don’t be alarmed there is plenty of seating down stairs to plan a party. They will be catering a few of our summer parties. Look for us sitting at the end of the Bar on the weekends.
We love this place!
