We took a chance and are not sorry.
We went on Father's Day - our first time there, and everything was outstanding. The service was good - not great, but our waitress knew the wine list and didn't leave us waiting for long. Atmosphere was nice, traditional, warm. Certainly not modern or fancy, but this is a family restaurant and acts like one. All of the food was excellent - traditional fare for the most part, but all of it well done. My dad, who is hard to please, gave his steak five stars. My husband's chicken parmesan was delicious, as were my scallops in white wine sauce (a special that evening.) We will definitely go back!

Yumm-O!!
Have visited three times now and am always impressed! The Prime Rib is OUTSTANDING!! Very reasonably priced. Service was a little bit below average, they aren't always on top of things especially considering the size of the restuarant...and the atmosphere is quaint, quiet, not bad. You are going to a restaurant to EAT, and the food here is great!!

Thanksgiving Dinner Gone Wrong...
The boyfriends side of the family aren't much of cooks, so they decided to go to Mahle's for dinner instead. Fist off the service was horrible, the place wasnt even full and the server was not attendent at all there were 8 of us in all and a few of us went 20 mins without a drink refill, two people got the wrong thing when the food came out, my filet which tasted like a shoe and the potates were plain, came out so bad my boyfriend can make better steak than that, another one of us got the prime rib and that was not cooked right, and we ended up getting two dinners taken off the bill they were so bad. all in all i left hungry on thanksgiving and went home and ate leftovers from grandmas house.

Not Impressed
Went there last Saturday (group of 6 people) 5 out of 5 baked potatoes served were so cold, the butter didn't even melt. Our dirty plates sat on the table, and the waitress had to clear our plates as our food was sitting on the tray. One of the entrees was Salmon. It looked like a nursing home portion. Although our server was very nice, service was very slow. This was my first time there, and I'm not sure I would go back.

Back Again!
We ordered clam chowder, prime rib and chicken parmesan. The chowder was average, but the main courses were excellent as was the wait staff. The only negative is the chairs all have arms and for a larger than average person there is not enough room to sit comfortably. The price (with large portions) and ambiance were fine with the cloth linens.

Good Food!
I've been to Mahle's twice, and both times I had the pasta primavera, which was very good! I like the bread they serve with meals and they kept my coke glass filled! The waitress was very nice. I went on Friday nights and you have to get there early as it was getting crowded.

Nothing special
The food is barely adequate and is surpassed by many less expensive restaurants. The atmosphere is nonexistent. The service is just OK. This is nothing special and can do as a last resort, but I wouldn't choose to go here.

Dont waste your money
What can I say, the dining room and the bar are in the same room. Zero ambience, the food , oh my god, Ive had better in the hospital cafeteria. Im not kidding. I ordered the chicken Parmasean cause it looked -safe- , but it was awful. The waitress couldnt believe I didnt want a doggy bag.

you can steak your claim on a good meal at mahle's
my wife and i have sampled many types of dishes at mahle's. we have never been disappointed. joe and jen, the chef's, are very accomodating.and will tweek a dish so it is exactly to your liking. prime rib and shrimp scampi are two of our favorites. if you have plenty of tissues, try the stuffed sweet banana pepper appetizer, it's terrific. we always make reservations as word of this wonderful establishment is spreading.

YOU'LL WISH YOU NEVER HAD TO LEAVE
At Mahle's, you will find that Joe prepares the best food in town. The service is outstanding. You'll make friends for a life time while sitting at the bar sipping "Lynn's Long Island Ice Teas". Believe me, this Family owned business will make you wish you could stay forever. Tellem the "Red Neck from Branson Mo. sent You."
