Best Place in Town

I have been to 82nd street two times this month and both times I went my experience was fantastic. When I walked in we were graciously greeted by the host and seated. Within minutes a server came over, told us the specials and was Extremely friendly and personable. I was so impressed the first time around that I came back again. I tried their lobster and it tasted as though it just crawled out of the ocean. It was fantastic. The sample appetizer was superb. My wife and I often dine out...but we have not had an experience as good as this one in a long time. We will absolutely be back!

Best Martini & Schnitzel Around

My girlfriends and I frequent 82nd street because it is very cozy but classy at the same time. We went in this past Monday and sat at the bar. Our bartendar was Kim. She was dressed very professional, and her personality was great. She talked us into ordering something completely different from our other visits. We went with the schnitzel. It was fabulous! And the martini's Kim made were the best I ever tasted. We always go because it is close to all of us, but this visit put it over the top. Great food, great martini's and excellent service! It will become a weekly stop for us!

Friendly and delicious!

I LOVE 82nd STREET!!!! I've been there dozens of times - it's like Cheers, where they always know your name. The waitstaff is hardworking and really tries their best to make the customers happy, even when it's extremely busy. I've never had a bad time or eating experience there. They have the best cajun wings, their Ciabatta melt sandwich is incredible, and they offer Mom's cooking - stuffed cabbage, city chicken, chicken paprikash! Can't beat it, guys!

NEED A NEW MANAGER

JUST HAD DINNER AT 82ND ST GRILL TONIGHT. WE HAVE ALWAYS LIKED TO GO THERE BUT, TONIGHT THE PERSON THAT SAT US AT OUR TABLE WAS VERY RUDE...I LATER FOUND OUT THAT SHE IS THE NEW MANAGER. THEY WERE VERY BUSY AND VERY SHORT HANDED. I GUESS SHE WAS HAVING A BAD NIGHT BECAUSE SHE HAD TO WAIT ON TABLES AND WORK. I COULDN'T KEEP MY EYES OFF HER THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE AND FOUND THAT SHE WAS RUDE TO EVERYONE. ONE OF HER TABLES BROUGHT MISTAKES ON HER BILL TO HER ATTENTION NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. SHE WAS NOT APPOLOGETIC TO THE CUSTOMER EITHER. OUR SERVER WAS LINDA, AND SHE WAS WORKING VERY HARD AND DID A GREAT JOB WITH A SMILE JZ PARMA

Rude and incompetent Wait staff

The service here is terrible. If you have a couple of hours to blow waiting, you will be fine.If your into eye-candy barmaids and waitreses skip 82nd grill,The women that work here are huge.Very disapointed in the food.I have been there at least 9 times with many friends and it keeps on being consistently disapointing in evey way.

Great Early Bird Specials

Seen a ad in the sun post for a free early dinner at 82nd street. Thought we would give it a try. What a surprise. About 12 dinners with soup or salad for less then $7.00. The portions were huge and the food really good. I had the city chicken and it was very tasty. The husband had stuffed cabbage and was licking his plate. we both had a soft drink and the bill was $15.00. we will be back. I understand they also offer them on Sunday. Keep up the good work.

AWFUL WILL NEVER GO AGAIN

Went for lunch with my sister and daughter. Waited one hour and a half eventhough the restaurant was empty. The food came out wrong and the head waitress and the person behind the bar came to our table. They were both rude and said it would be "comped" which they proceeded to take the food off the table. Not sure if they know what comped meant. I insisted for the bill so I could take my child's meal to go. Super rude!!!

I Became A Regular

My family and I enjoy going out for dinner although we always seemed to have a hard time making a family choice on where to eat, until we went to 82nd Street. We have become weekly regulars. They have a fantastic atmosphere for families or just a night out, average prices, great food and service. Our last four visits we have asked for the same server (Heather). She has been nothing but helpful and cheerful everytime. Heather knows what we would like to drink without needing to be reminded, tells us the new specials if their is any (while she joins our family at out table). I would suggest their breaded pork chops or pretzxel crusted walleye; as I was suggested and enjoyed.

Great Home cooking

Recently divorced with two kids I seem to be eating out a lot more. The place used to be main street and the food was good but a little pricey. I guess they had a fire and changed them name and the look of the place as well as the menu. You can get really good food there that you just don't see at most places. Chicken paprikash, city chicken, stuffed cabbage and others. I have eaten there at least 8 times and have always been happy with the prices ( most dinners around $10) and the service. The place is clean with games for the kids to play. Had a new server named Colleen last night and she was just great. Keep up the good work and I will continue to come back.

Great Prime rib

We had heard the 82nd street grill offers prime rib for $10.99 on Tuesday evening. We thought we would check it out with our hopes not to high. Really what are you going to get for that price. What a surprise. The prime rib was very good and a nice size cut also. Our server was pleasant and on the ball. The food came quickly and was cooked perfectly. We will be back for more. Great place to catch the game.

Won't be back

We moved to North Royalton last spring. As someone who worked her way through college in a restaurant, our family is always on the lookout for a great one. Our family consists of me, my husband, and 3 very well behaved and well mannered children. My first time in the restaurant was to place a to-go order. I went up to the bar and asked if that was where I should place the order. The bartender, an older lady, told me that yes this is where you place to-go's, but if that is all that I wanted, I would have to wait while she poured all the rest of the drinks. I sat and waited a good 10 minutes and she never returned, never looked my way, so I left. Our second experience with the restaurant was a called-in order for delivery. We ordered a pizza, a salad, and some kids meals. Our pizza arrived burnt, and no dressing was delivered with the salad though I had ordered ranch. The food was all very cold and inedible. My children wouldn't even eat their food, and they aren't picky. Then, the place had a fire, they closed and reopened under a new name. I am a stay-at-home mom and thought it would be good to get out every once in awhile. I went to place an application for very part time work there. I talked with Heather and submitted my resume with her. She said someone would call me that Monday, and it looked like I would be hired. I have extensive experience, including Bonefish Grill, so I know my level of experience. No one ever called. No big deal. I got a job at a bank. We decided to go out to eat Friday night. We couldn't decide where to go and picked 82nd St Grill and Pub (formerly Main St Grill and Pub). We went in at about 6 and the place was dead. We were seated right away, and the same lady that took my resume was our waitress. She had been very friendly when I talked with her before. NOT THIS TIME. She must've seen our kids and decided we were a "bad table". Mind you, we ALWAYS tip well over 20% and usually tip around 50% for the server having to deal with a family. She was a complete bitch. Our cheese sticks came out not cooked thoroughly, our wings were dry, my cup sat empty for half the meal, refills were never offered. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken wrap which came out with no buffalo sauce. We had our food for less than 5 minutes and boxes and a check were delivered to our table. We felt completely rushed, were never even offered after dinner drinks or treats, and we never heard from her again. We were in the place for less than 40 minutes and that is with 3 kids eating. Third strike is out for us. We will never return. They need to think about how they portray themselves...bar staff, servers, and food quality. It's too bad because we live so close that if we liked the place, we'd be in there at least once a week. :(

Great lounge and food

What a great bar. My husband and I stopped in for a quick look. Don't let the outside fool you this place is really nice and very clean. The bartender marge was wonderful and quick. We decided to stay and eat.By 9;00 the place was really busy and a lot of fun. The old bowling machine was a blast. The food was very good. We will be back.

Disappointing

My wife, son and I went to Main Street on 12/7/2006, because we had had a good experience on our two previous visits (in Feb and June). This time, however, was different. We each ordered chicken sandwiches and as we did not want the french fried potatoes that came with the sandwich, we attempted to substitute another (cheaper) side dish. We were told that we would have to pay extra for any substitution, even a less expensive side. We did not order any different side. The sandwiches were served (with fries). On previous visits the portion of chicken was huge and was half again as large as the bun. This time, however, the chicken breast did not even cover the bun. Very disappointing! We will not go back to Main Street.

3rd TIME NO CHARM

For the 3rd time I has had a meal at this location and each time I have been disappointed! The first time we waited 45 minutes for our food and then it came out cold. The second time food was quick but the bartender was so busy talking to her 2 customers at the bar we waited 10 minutes for 2 glasses of wine. Third time... the even screwed up a sandwich! Sorry, we tried !

Cozy little place

Main Street is a moderately priced restaurant serving American staples. The service has been consistently good and the food is mostly outstanding as well. I had a minor problem with my food on one trip and I was given a $10 gift certificate to use on a future visit even though I had cleaned my plate. Can't say enough good about this place.

Keep In Mind:
Rating everything 5 stars or all 1 stars is typically not very useful to others as makes you look a bit biased.

Remember, you can still visit a not so perfect place (ie, a dive joint) and still give it 5 overall stars.
