FIVE BIG STARS ***** from me
There's a good reason why Marie's has been around for well over 20 years and is still successful. Very few small family owned restaraunts can do that. The food is homemade and awesome. I have been going there for over 20 years and it's always been very good experience. I have moved away fromt he area and now live over 30 miles away but still find the long drive for dinner is well worth the ride. It's become a tradition for me and my family to go to Marie's on every special occassion. My daughters baptism party was there when she was only a few months old. Soon we will celebrate her 20th birthday with dinner there. It's always a pleasure. I have had every single item on the menu including her daily specials. I love them all. Please see for yourself. You won't ne sorry. One last thing. This is a family owned business and they are some of the nicest people Iv'e ever met. A few visits and they will know you by name. It's a special place to me and my family.

a hidden gem!
Marie's reminds me of food from when I was young. I am of Slovene and Slovak decent and have never had food like this outside of my family kitchen. The restaurant is clean, has an old world "feel". Service is great, prices are fair and the food.....amazing! mmm! I will be going back and taking friends!

TASTELESS
I went there for lunch today and had the WORST Chicken Marsala I have ever tasted. The chicken had no flavor and the marsala sauce had no marsala wine in it. It tasted like plain chicken gravy...and bad gravy too. The mashed potatoes were horrible and were a weird color like opaque, not even close to white. Potatoes were pasty and bland. Never going back to Marie's.

another old-world Cleveland surprise !
My buddy (who knows a good meal) has been asking me for weeks if I'd like to join him for lunch down the street ... you gotta understand, I work on East 38th in Clevelands not-so-nice warehouse district & I thought I knew all of the decent places to eat around here, well go figure, this place with a nothing front is a wondefull Eastern European menu ! I had the chicken paprikash, he had the viener schnitzel & the soup was fantastic ! The prices were very reasonable & the service was fantastic... check it out !
