Talk about a find. Marotta's bolognese sauce is the best I have ever eaten. Trust me, this is the place to go. While it's small, I'd call it intimate!
Great food and wonderful service. Very nice experience. By the way, try their "Bellini Cocktail" cause it's really something.

Marotta's reminds me of Boston's North End. The restaurant is small, intimate, and the food excellent. They make a thin crust cheese pizza that is among the best in the area. And the pasta puttanesca is fantastic. We usually get take out, but the times we have eaten in have always been good experiences.

Very unique space, I have read alot about this place and finally made it over last month. Salads were good if you like field greens , I do , but hubby does not. Artichoke appetizer very good, Pizza, well , I liked it , but hubby wasnt impressed. Toppings are quality, only thing is , you have to eat it there. The crust gets soft as soon as it cools down. It didint help that the waitor put the pizza in a plastic container and not a paper box. I would go back, but hubby isnt planning on it. Hes still looking for N Y style pizza, Except for Capri pizza in Middleburg, we havent really found it.

If you're from New York, or at least appreciate New York quality food, then you'll love Marottas. Big, New York pizzas with lots of flavor made me feel at home. The carbonara and putanesca are my other favorites. In nice weather, the patio is very cozy. Their wine cellar has expanded as well since they first opened. One of my favorites.

In the mood for some good NY style pizza, we went to Marotta's for the first time. I must say that we were not too impressed by the pizza we got. I like a crisp but tender and flavorful crust. The crust on our pizza was crisp beyond crisp (think extra-thick saltine) but totally flat in the flavor department. We ordered the Mediterranean-type pizza which was on the menu (though I forget the actual name). It had feta, basil, kalamata olives, etc. on it. I must be honest and admit that, upon ordering, I did not realize we were ordering a "white" pizza. In fairness, we may give them another try with a plain cheese/red sauce pie. In our experience, the straight cheese pizza is truly the best way to make a real judgement of the taste and quality. But based on the crust, they won't make our "A" list.
The pricing was definitely on the high side, but I wouldn't have minded had the pizza been of commensurate quality.
While the service was good and the atmosphere nice, it was great pizza that we desired. We will continue on our "best pizza" quest!

With a patio for those sultry summer nights, this cozy locally-owned (she went to Beaumont) Italian restaurant will instantly become a favorite. The thin-crust pizza is absolutely incredible and the variety of toppings is unparalleled. Chances are you'll erase that franchise pizza shop number out of your cell phone to make room for the best. It is slightly more expensive pizza, but when you consider the superior ingredients, you won't mind an extra $4. The entrees are exquisite. Fantastic whie selection too.
#1 place to go to eat well and discuss that Cedar-Lee film.
