What a joke.
I can't really review Maxi's because after waiting for a half hour we still hadn't received our drinks or appetizer course. I can tell you, though, we did witness some gems. We were spoken to VERY rudely after inquiring with the bartender regarding our drinks so we decided to leave. While walking back to our table to gather our things we heard a server emphatically exclaiming to her guest "Sir, I've already apologized to you 5 or 6 times, what do you want me to do?!" as another server slammed her hand into the wall and screamed at the cooks "I told you 5 ^%#!@*( times I need balsamic vinnaigrette!!!" Dysfunctional yet entertaining, but it wasn't worth a half hour of my time.

i thought the service was a joke-seriously
I cannot write a very good overall review of this place becuase we never actually got any food or drinks and that was after waiting 45min. The service was so bad, we actually got yelled at by the staff. We had drink and food orders in, but it seemed like the staff was only worried about one big party. All of the rest of the tables suffered the same fate as us, except they had drinks. We were patient for the most part, but when we finally asked for our drinks at the bar, we were told that they would get to them when they get to them. I also witnessed another patron being scolded by a server, she was telling him "i already apologized like 5 or 6 times sir, what do you want me to do." Upon witnessing that, we decided to leave. We told our server we were leaving and he said to us, "I don't blame you." Good luck if you ever try this place. I know I will never go back.

The Best in Cleveland!
A cosey atmosphere at a gourmet establishment. Maxis defines the "neighborhood vibe" in Little Italy. The staff was very friendly, and the menu covers a wide range of styles- everything from frogs legs to seaweed salad specials. We had fast service and the prices are decent. A+!

Excellente!
My sisters and I came across Maxi's by accident and we were so pleasantly surprised! Their marinara sauce is out of this world. And with pasta dishes that are large enough to split, it makes it very reasonably priced evening.

A hit everytime!
Our table ordered Raviolli, spinach and goat cheese with sundried tomatoes; cavatelli and for an appetizer mussels and brushetta! Fabulous! We have taken several people to Maxi's and have always had a wonderful meal. The service is OK. You have to ask for more bread and water occasionally, but the food makes up for the average service.
