Just LOVED the place!!!!!
We thought we would try something new (New Restaurant) tonight. So we thought about the Medina Steakhouse. I'm so glad that we did!!! The food was Great.. I had the Fettuccini $10 and for an appetizer we had the Potato Skins that were simply Fantastic!! It was very clean.. Nice atmosphere.. Waitress was so very friendly and gave told us some history of the building along with a Little ghost story which added to the ambiance of the place.. There were two of us.. with appetizers..meal.. 2 Iced teas and dessert $4... Our total was around $40..We would def. go back again!!

Good Times
I am glad I did not go by the other reviews listed and change my reservation. Our birthday party of 9 adults and 3 children had great service! Our glasses were always full and the table cleared quickly between items, which helps out a lot with children. The salads were a wonderful mix of greens, with a nice variety of dressings offered. I particulary enjoyed the raspberry vinaigrette. My cabernet beef tips for $15 were cooked perfect, flavorful and so tender I could cut into them with my spoon. My husband ordered the strip steak with baked potato and could not stop talking about the lean cut, flavor or the tenderness of it. My Uncle ordered the 16 oz ribeye and I don't think he said two words until his plate was clean! The meals were perfectly sized, leaving no room for dessert. We had a wonderful experience and are looking forward to going back again with other friends.

So What Would You Expect
This place is just horrible or I guess I should really say it is exactly equal to every restaurant in Medina that claims to be upscale. The food is poor, the service is like Applebee's at best and the experience is just bad. The haddock I had was fishy and my partner's steak tasteless. The Bar is great but the place is just so mediocre; I mean you can only trade on being a historic location for so long. This place is no better or worse than Main Street Cafe or Grand Market Grill.
When the best restaurants in the area are Penny's Poor House and Steve's Dakota Grill, you know this town is in bad shape.

A birthday dinner worth forgetting!
The Chicken Saltimbocca for $15 tasted like it had Chef Boy-r-dee Spaghetti-oo's sauce on it and the 16oz. prime rib for $22 was very chewy and had no tast whatsoever. A great disappointment for a $50 dinner.
