Try it ... you'll be back!
I eat at the Metropolitan quite a bit. The food is always fresh and delicious with a great presentation. I was there yesterday for lunch and had the "special" - a wonderful pasta dish with chicken, garlic, sundried tomatoes, spinach and feta cheese...yum. The chef is awesome and the staff are very knowledgeble about the menu and are friendly and attentive. A beautiful restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Try it!

menu update needed
I have been going here for several years now and the menu has not changed at all. Please update the menu and get some new selections. There must not be a gourmet chef there because he would take charge of the menu if there was. The restaurant is owned by Hyde Park, a chain, but they try to go with the independent restaurant image...fooled at first, but no longer.

At once contemporary and classic, this sleek Warehouse District restaurant is equally impressive as a business lunch destination and a place to linger over a gracious evening meal. There's a lively bar scene as well, with such bar-food offerings as Kobe beef cheeseburgers, pecan-crusted chicken salad and a New York strip steak sandwich. On the dinner menu, choices include the whimsical-sounding lamb chop ""loli-pops,"" served as an appetizer with sweet potato pomme frites and a Dijon honey glaze. There are pizzas and pastas, an artistically stacked tomato and mozzarella salad, and aged steaks and chops. Chef's specialties range from fresh wood-grilled fish to tenderloin Napoleon, the latter layered with roasted portabellas, tomatoes and wilted spinach, topped with jumbo shrimp and finished with a chipotle aņoli.
