We moved from Cleveland to Texas 18 months ago. Ae from my family, my only longing is for sliced beef Pho with hot Jasmin tea, a veggie egg roll and flan from this darling little restaurant. These former East Siders miss the friendly service, unpretentious atmosphere and delectable food. The contrasts of flavor, heat and texture are heavenly. I've never found a better spring roll with that delicate crispness and the rich mushroom and cabbage filling. A small bowl of soup is very generous with loads of fresh bean sprouts, lemons basil and jalapenos tossed in. The flan is rich, sweet and satisfying. After a lovely meal we always stop at the stor to take home some of our favorite vietnamese treats, including fresh basil and lemongrass. A real value and great weekend treat. We have found mid-afternoon to be our favorite time to visit as we've never had to stand in line at that time of day. This is also a terrific take out place for a weekday lunch. (Pho and egg rolls)

A quick drive from downtown Cleveland, Minh Anh offers Vietnamese specialties that make an ideal light lunch or dinner. Choose from soups (served in very generous portions), noodle dishes with meat or tofu, curries and other dishes with the right combination of delicate spices that will entertain, not overwhelm, your taste buds. In addition to flavoring, the cooking technique here has a light touch as well - the tofu in a delicate coconut-milk curry dish is cooked to the perfect consistency (meat-eating diners might even mistake it for tender chicken). Adventuresome diners will enjoy the more exotic items on the menu - among them, frog legs - and the spicier offerings. After you pay the check, step over to the adjoining Asian market for green tea, spices, Asian cookware and utensils, and a host of other items you won't find at your local grocery store.
