Moe's has been a popular spot on Front Street in Cuyahoga Falls for years, but there seems to be a special buzz about the place lately, thanks to Chef Jared Kirby. Area food aficionados remember Kirby and his creative fusion food fondly from his stints at the now-defunct downtown Akron restaurant Treva and the Galaxy in Wadsworth, and are glad to see him back in northern Ohio. The dishes Kirby is presenting on Moe's frequently changing blackboard menu continue the world cuisine theme: dim sum, prosciutto-wrapped caramelized seared scallops, and pan-seared swordfish, served with garlicky sauteed escarole, white beans and a saffron consomme. Be sure to save room for dessert - the boca negra, a lusciously rich flourless chocolate cake, dusted with cinnamon and served ê la mode, doesn't disappoint.

While in Cuyahoga Falls on business, I was taken to Moe's for dinner. It is very noisy and hard to carry on a conversation. My host was very upset because two of us placed an order (7 pm) only to be told they were out of it. We wondered how that could be so early in the evening. One of their specialities is a veal stuffed pepper. I swear it was beef and not veal. The upside to our visit was the wait staff. Very pleasant and very conscientous. Moe, the owner, on the other hand was very ubrupt. I'm not sure I would go there again. I enjoyed Le Fevers much better.
