The original Morton's of Chicago was the ultimate boys' club, the place to go for a juicy cut of beef and a fine cigar. There were no signs denoting the restaurant's location; if you didn't know where it was, you probably weren't good enough to eat there anyway. But times change, and the Morton's of today is a much more welcoming place; the chain has locations around the world, and the Cleveland spot, situated in Tower City, offers the meat for which the restaurant is still known. Double-cut filet mignon proves the old cliche true by literally melting in your mouth; the porterhouse, New York strip, rib-eye and prime rib are equally fantastic. Sides are ê la carte here, so round out your meal with some veggies or one of several potato preparations. But be sure to save room for dessert: The chocolate Godiva cake, a gooey confection accented with rich vanilla bean ice cream, will have you contemplating licking the plate.
