Cleveland Classic
That's why we come here. Eaten here at least 5 times in the past year. Such a unique place, and it's been around forever. Get the Old Chatham Cheese Plate appetizer and some wine. They also have cheese kebob's, interesting and tasty apetizer. My favorite place to go Friday night after a long week of work. You can't call yourself an eastsider if you don't go here. Make sure you pay the parking meter, heights cops take great pride in issuing tickets.

crap with a side of CRAP
I arrived at 8:20pm because I had a reservation at 8:30. I was not seated until 9pm. They then sat me finally, but next to the kitchen where all the waiters kept bumping into my chair. Then the waitress took FOREVER to get my order or even bring it. I only got ONE glass of water the whole time. They forgot the dressing to my salad, but by the time they brought it out, I was done. I went to hear the jazz music, but they took a 40 minute break during my meal, so I ended up only hearing 10 minutes of playtime. When we asked for our check, it took 25 minutes to get it. We did not leave until midnight!!! I have NEVER had such poor service or attention in my entire life. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my dog.

Good music, terrible service!
My husband and I went here last night (3/18) and had what possibly could be the worst waitress around (Elizabeth). Indifferent is a perfect word to describe her. Not only that, but she messed up our order twice and never apologized. Because of her, we will never go back. The jazz trio was excellent though

Great place!
I've been eating at NightTown for years now and have always had a great meal in great atmosphere. I've attended weddings and other special occasions there and NightTown does a great job. Best Prime Rib in the city and great seafood selections.

Consistently the best!
An evening at Nighttown is what a night out should be. From outstanding music and food to a sometimes lively crowd, it is the perfect spot for drinks with friends, entertaining a client or a romantic dinner for two. The newer patio is one of the few outdoor dining options on the near eastside. The staff is full of professionals who know thir job and do it well. There is a reason that "regulars" count their years of patronage by the decade. Don't forget to try the Calamari!

Correcting the Record
"I ordered the salmon and it was served up deep fried, no batter - OUCH! That ruined it for me. Another dark, crowded, low maintenance in Cleveland Heights. The music was pretentious and the crowd noisy. For the price, keep looking."
For the record, Nighttown has never served a deep fried salmon. That said, I am sincerely sorry the person above had an unpleasant experience at Nighttown. I do hope he or she told one of our managers or servers at the time. Yes, the crowd at Nighttown can be a bit noisy at times, but we hope we're the antithesis of pretentious. Whether you're in bluejeans or coming from Severance Hall in your tux, we welcome everyone. We're the only place in Ohio on Down Beat's list of the 100 Best Jazz Clubs in the World and we feature music 7 nights a week. For name artists, we have a reasonable cover charge, but never a minimum. For the price, we think we're a pretty good deal.
I hope the person above gives us another chance.
Thanks for the opportunity to respond.

Part neighborhood bar, part restaurant, part jazz club, this Cleveland Heights favorite has something to offer almost everyone. Such statements sound cliche, to be sure, but at Nighttown the old saying holds true: There's a no-frills burger, grilled chicken sandwich and chicken quesadillas for those who like things simple; chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese, roasted shallots and walnuts for those willing to branch out. Seafood selections are impressive and range from appetizers (smoked salmon, calamari and steamed mussels) to dinners: The house specialty Dublin lawyer - lobster meat sauteed in cayenne butter with mushrooms, scallions, Irish whiskey and cream - is a favorite of many regulars. Diners can enjoy outdoor dining in Stephen's Green, Nighttown's lively patio, or soak up the jazzy, bookish atmosphere inside.
