This place is perfection …
We dined at One Walnut Restaurant last week and I am not one to post reviews but I had to with this one. We had an incredible experience – everything was first class. The food was amazing – the menu is set up in courses so you can enjoy a variety of foods and the serving sizes were perfect per course. We are wine lovers and the wine list was impressive. The service staff was professional, personal and attentive yet not over the top and the atmosphere was cozy and trendy at the same time. The evening was perfect – I am recommending this place to everyone I know. One Walnut is not to be missed – definitely the best restaurant I have been to!

Chef Marlin Kaplan offers diners at One Walnut a prix fixe menu; rather than being restrictive, the concept is an exercise in choice. Start off by deciding if you'd like a three-, four- or five-course meal (each is priced accordingly), and then let the hemming and hawing begin. Will you start with lobster nachos or andouille-stuffed quail? Move on to seared sea scallops with sticky rice, coconut milk and orange basil butter, or beef medallion with porcini risotto? Perhaps a selection of artisanal cheeses is in order before moving on to dessert - which could be crÅme br?lee, or something chocolaty. One Walnut's lunch menu is extensive and no less impressive than the dinner version. A substantial wine list, numbering into the dozens, is also available; not for nothing has chef Marlin Kaplan's restaurant been honored alongside the best in the country in Gourmet magazine's top 100 restaurants.
