Great little place
This is one of the best places I get food from. I always recommend them to friends and co-workers. The ladies have always been nice and polite. Orders get messed up anywhere you go especially when their large orders, and they have always been quick and nice to fix any mistakes. :)

Bad Attitude
I HAVE BEEN GOING TO AJ'S FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS NOW AND WE HAVE HAD A COUPLE OF MISTAKES AND THEY WERE POLITE ABOUT IT BUT TODAY WE PUT IN AN ORDER FOR OUR OFFICE AND ALL 3 WRAPS THAT WE ORDERED WERE WRONG I TRIED TO EXPLAIN THAT ONE WAS TO HAVE HAD RANCH AND MILD ON IT AND IT HAD MILD ON IT NO RANCH THE OTHER HAD NO CHEESE AND THE LAST ONE WAS TO HAVE EXTRA FETA ON IT AND HAD LIKE 3 PIECES ON IT WHEN I CALLED I SAT ON HOLD FOR 5 MIN 13 SEC AND WAS HUNG UP ON AND WHEN I CALLED BACK AND TALK TO THE STAFF I WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN SHE WAS NOT NICE AT ALL SO WATCH IF THEY DO MAKE A MISTAKE BE READY IT WAS NOT WORTH THE CALL !! OH THE SERVICE COMMENT WAS NOT ABOUT HOLLIE SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN POLITE !!!

Dissatisifed Service
Last evening, I placed an order to go for myself and my grandson and granddaughter who I was babysitting for the evening. I specifically ordered no onions and no peppers on my 8-year-old grandson's steak sandwich as I always do. When I got home, I discovered that it was loaded with onions and peppers. I immediately called them and told them the situation and the girl said, "no, you didn't say no onions and no peppers" and we then proceeded to go back and forth about what I ordered and how. RIDICULOUS!! Now, I am babysitting my grandson and granddaughter and the last thing I want to do is to inconvenience them and myself. So, I said, "well, I'll be back up there for a new one" at which time, the girl said, "well, let me check with the manager." Now, at this point, the customer is always right!! Plus, I know in fact when I order for him everytime there, I specifically say no onions and no peppers. It's not rare for an 8-year-old to not like those toppings. So, I had to make the trip back up to A&J's which was a huge inconvenience for me. And, as I was just about to leave the register upon picking up the correct sandwich that I originally ordered, the girl said, "Sorry about that" which then I heard the male cook, chef, manager or whoever the hell this rude guy was say, "Don't tell her your sorry." I just walked away ignoring the rude guy. For being a paying customer and one who frequently went to A&J's, I was very disappointed in their customer service, their lack of trust on a customer's part and the audacity to even say something like that to a customer who was so very inconvenienced. I will never go back again!!

Best Turkey sub
Or anything, never had a bad meal eat ther 50 times a year or more, oh and the steak sub to die for, girls are always pleasant,food always ready when promised.I get the Turkey sub and can't stop eating it and its more food than I normaly would eat.

Great salads
I'm a big fan of the salads - Apple, Strawberry and even the buffalo chicken strip. I've never dined in but the staff is pretty friendly. The prices are comparable to other chains in the area. The restaurant has the small town diner feel; great food and everyone knows everyone.

Fantastic sandwiches, service
This is a phenomenal restaurant. I highly recommend the steak sub sandwich and the fries with hot sauce, as well as the Greek wrap! The wait staff is kind and attentive. The dining room is on the smaller side and gets packed during the lunch hour so look out!!!

Not a bowl of cherries, just the pits.
Looks good from the outside but a real dive inside. They may have been remolding because I did see someone there working on the place but everything about it was bad. Service, food, atmosphere. If I hadn't seen so many times I would have thought it was just opening. I had looked at the ratings here before I went and that was part of the reason we went. Not a soul was in there and no one could be brothered with taking our order and didn't give us eating utensils we had to ask for everything almost.It might have been a fluke but won't ever go back.

Holly and Hallie are awesome:-)
The two girls know us and what we order by heart. The burgers and waffle fries are great! The whole A&J's staff sent a get well card to me after surgery, talk about feeling like the CHEER's bar. They are great caring people. An outdoor patio would be nice. Dianne Bay Village

Unbelievable Toasted Sub Heaven
I have grown up with the Restaurant in Olean, New York. The food is great. The service has always been good, both Olean and Westlake. The employees running the day to day operations, Horrible attitudes and extremely rude. Although when you have High School Kids doing these jobs what can you excpect. Get the same thing at Mcdonalds or any other fast food joint.Overall great job,keep it going.

DITZY WORKERS/WRONG ORDERS
The girls take orders up front are clueless. Whether on the phone or in person- you just know that your order is going to turn out wrong. Not to mention the wait. they tell you 20 minutes and 40 minutes later you are still standing there. At least there is entertainment. As I waited an extra 30 minutes to pick up the office lunch order, I was entertained by how the girls treated the customers as they picked up their orders. They were rude and snotty. They act like they are right and if you dont like it, dont come in. they dont try to even act congenial. We are never going back there. The staff is rude and our orders are either made wrong or missing something.

BE CAREFUL
I have been going to A&J's for over 3 years now, they have always gotten our company's food orders wrong, in some way, but they have decent food. Today, i called, here is how that went:
Girl answering the phone: Hello
ME: Hi, how much are the mini corn dogs
Girl answering the phone: Yes
ME: No, HOW MUCH are the mini corn dogs
Girl answering the phone: Oh, 4.29 for 10
ME: OK, great, i would like to order 10.
Girl answering the phone: OK
She then hung up
I called back and asked for a manager to take my order, as i was not very trusting that the girl would get any of my order correct, plus i have food allergies and i wanted to convey that to someone who was actually listening. The same teen girl answered, i explained that i wanted to talk to a manager she got me a "manager", which was for all i know her friend, because the woman that i then spoke with, when asked if she was a manager, she stated, "sorta".
by this point i was frustrated and told her i was going to McDonald's and hung up.
They called me back and offered that i talk to the owner, i explained that since they are accross the street i would take the time to get this straightened out. This is such a small thing, but important to me that my food is how i order it.
I walked in and met with all parties, including a woman with whom she claimed to be the owner. I was explaining the above exactly and i am the type of person who "wears his heart on his sleeve" and shows my frustration, but yet, remember, i am there, wasting my time, because even if they offer me free food, this was the first time i have tried to go back to A&J's Grill in over a year, since i had a bad burger that i had to go to the hospital over. I took responsiblity for trusting that A&J's listens. So i thought i would try again.
The owner wanted to step outside, i then trying talking to her, stating to explain that i have a food allergy and explain my perspective so that we were on the same page, as she has not been 100% involved.
She cut me off mid sentence. I stopped her from doing so and she kicked me off of the property.
My advise, check your order and remember, A&J's does NOT care if they hurt you!

Best Burgers and Fries
THis is the best place to get burgers and fries. From the outside, this restaurant does not stand out. When I first saw the place I thought it was a bank going out of buisness. You have to move past that prejudice and eat at AJs--you will quickly realize this is one of the best places for a casual meal in the Cleveland area--the mushroom cheesburgers are the greatest!

Amen to the Burger Lover's paradise
During a previous life, I reviewed burgers and fries for a small newspaper and A &J's ranked very high on my list. The burger was juicy, cooked as I asked and delicious. The fries were tasty. Try the buffalo waffle fries, they are very tasty. The only downside is that the place is so good, that it is packed during lunch. Either take a late lunch, order takeout or go for dinner. (I never have eaten there during the dinner hour, so I don't know if they are as busy as they are during lunch.)

Burger lovers paradise
First off the prices are outstanding, and so is the service; considering that there arent to many tables to manage. If you are a burger lover this is the place to go, in my opinion A&J's has the best burgers in town.
