Yum,Yum,Yum!!! Can't beat the good food , freindly service anywhere.
My family and I practically grew up at Pearl of the Orient. It just went through a big remodeling and the new restaurant is modern, simple and elegant. The new west entrance faces a gigantic piece of green granite water fall, it bring a sense of calmness once you walked in. Then there is a long and extensive bar that connects to the round sushi bar with beautiful pendant light hanging down from the ceiling, and projects a serene sensation. In the new dining room, there are large floor to ceiling glass walls that give a bright and airy feeling to the room. For appetizers we tried the Pot Sticker Braised, Yuen Bows, Coconut Shrimp, and the Vietnamese Spring Roll. At the sushi side, we had the Tuna and Yellowtail sashimi. For dinner entree, we ordered the Miso grilled salmon, it just melts in your mouth, and the Peking salmon was lightly floured and the sauce has a tang flavor and is just out of this world (I can eat this everyday). Our friend are sushi fans, they had the California Roll, Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll and Spicy Tuna Tempura Roll. And also the Sashimi/ Sushi Dinner Combo was so fresh its just scrumptious. For dessert, we had the house made Cheese cake and Chocolate Mousse cake with Mitchell's Ice Cream ala mode. The dinner was totally fabulous and service was very friendly. I'd go back tomorrow.

Best Pearl in the Orient
Have eaten there several times. Food is always fabulous along with the service. Great atmosphere and outside dining also available. If you love Chinese--this is the best. There is more food than you can eat and the price is very reasonable.

Shoppers may be lured into this Beachcliff Market Square restaurant by the appealing aroma of teriyaki, but they return again and again for well-prepared Asian cuisine that's artfully presented. A decor dominated by pale greens and yellows creates a soothing atmosphere in which to enjoy sushi and sashimi, along with such Chinese dishes as almond honey chicken, Mongolian duck, beef ho fun noodles, prawns with cashews, and eggplant in black bean sauce. No MSG is used in the preparation of the food. East Side Clevelanders who don't feel like traveling across the river for their Pearl of the Orient fix can visit the Van Aken Center location.
