Local Gem of Shaker Heights December 09, 2007 Food Service Atmosphere Cleanliness Overall        Creative menu with items like Crusted Pork with Hoisin Barbecue sauce, Wok seared Salmon in Black Bean Sauce. Service was friendly and attentive. The prices of dinner is no more than $15.00. Lunches are even more reseanable with prices between $6.00-$8.00. Great value. Surprisingly varied wine list for a Chinese restaurant. They even bottle their Sauces like Sweet and Sour, Szechuan, Kung Pao sauce and Shanghai sauce. Best Chinese restaurant in Cleveland August 14, 2006 Food Service Atmosphere Cleanliness Overall        Pearl is truly a hidden gem in Shaker Heights. The decor is peaceful, service efficient and friendly, food....wow! So few restaurants have consistant quality these days that it is refreshing to have one that is consistantly excellent. The dinner specials are creative and well prepared. I have tried almost everything on their menu and I have a few favorites to recommend - Seafood Vermicelli Hot Pot, Crusted Pork in Hoisin BBQ Sauce, Smoke Duck with Three Mushrooms and Crunchy Beef. If you want to impress someone, call and order the Peking Duck 24 hours in advance. It is better than the ones I had in Peking. Review By: Ella From Shaker Heights

This Is No Take Out "Joint" March 28, 2005 Food Service Atmosphere Cleanliness Overall        One taste of the Honey-Almond chicken...let alone the cozy atmosphere, fantastic service, delicious menu, exquisite oriental presentations, and I guarantee you will have no further questions as to where to take friends and family whrn they are in town.
